it takes only a few muscles to move the trackball, versus a lot of wrist and arm muscles to move a mouse
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can I pair a single M570 Trackball with more than one Unifying Receiver? I'd like to be able to use the mouse on my laptop and desktop, not at the same time of course.

yes, but you would have to move the "dongle" in the USB port from one device to the other first.
