Bought this for Ethernet connectivity, love it for WiFi extension. Easy to set up and move around the house and once in place you forget about it. Seamlessly works while roaming around the house with a phone or tablet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Using the free DUO-link-4 app from the app store it backs up all your pictures, movies and iTunes-only music. It also will do a 'move' which removes the files from your iPhone/iPad to free up space. Easy to access from home computer with USB 3 type-A plug.
iOS 13 was suppose to allow usb access from the apple Files app, but that does not work with this.
You can copy music from your home computer to this, but again, you have to play them with the DOU app, which is not user-friendly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does this receive the wifi signal and allow me to hard wire a device to use the signal it receives or is the ethernet port used to plug into, then broadcast a signal?

I set up this to connect my old pc without WiFi using the Ethernet on the old pc to my house router over WiFi. Works great! It’s like a Ethernet to WiFi bridge. It still works as a WiFi extender (bridge) while doing that, which is a bonus for me.

Does this device put the pictures from multiple i-phones into date order and also look for duplicates?

It translates the photo name to IMG_xxx.JPG, where xxx is an incrementing number starting at 1. You have a choice of creating a folder to put them in.

Will this fit through an otter box case or do I need an adapter?
