 Logitech - H600 RF Wireless On-Ear Headset - Black
Logitech - H600 RF Wireless On-Ear Headset - Black
Cut loose from your PC and roam freely as you talk. Lightweight and long-range wireless headset lets you listen and chat up to 33 ft from your computer. Laser-tuned speaker drivers and noise-cancelling microphone delivers clear calls and stereo sound. Power on and off, adjust the volume or mute your calls with simple on-ear controls located on the right ear cup. Works with Windows, Mac and favorite calling applications. Adjustable headband and foam ear cups feel comfortable even after long hours of use.

It works and is reasonable quality. The earphones are comfy and the sound is good. Set up was easy. The microphone quality is average -- but it is no better than my cheap logitech webcam and definitely worse than my Yeti microphone. It feels cheap -- probably my biggest gripe. The USB adapter fits in the headset for travel - a nice touch. But it is difficult to get in and out of the slot because it isn't a good fit. The on/off switch is hard to discern which way is on and which is off. There is a small diode that goes on when its on but it is hard to see. It is doing the job and I'm not unhappy with it, but I'm not raving about it either. I knew it was not a high end headset and it doesn't disappoint I guess.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you mute from the headset ?

Yes, but it is a bit of a weakness IMHO of this device. The mute button is right at the bottom of the right ear piece in between the power plug slot and the power on slider switch, which makes it easy to hit while turning the earphones and makes it easy to mistake for the new user for the power button (why is the power button not next to the power plug slot?). There is no indicator light when the mute is on. Although there is a small tone which seems to indicate mute/unmute when pushed I have found it hard to easily verify that I've hit mute and it is easy to accidentally hit it while putting the ear phones on (e.g. to answer a call) at which point you are muted when trying to talk until you figure it out. Sigh. This headset is "good enough" -- a good price but it is not great either.
