Does it dry your hair fast? Is your hair shiny!
Yes it's very powerful and dries my thick hair very quickly. Over drying will dry your hair too much and steal your shine.

Is the cord retractable? I have an older version of this dryer that has this feature and it keeps things tidy.
No, but it does come with a nice strap to secure the cord in a tidy bunch.
