Waste of $$$. It's been less than a month since I started using this DVD combo. I waited to use it because I considered returning it before I used it. When it became too late to return it, I started to use it. It creates a ring of scratches on every disc and it pauses, graphics are garbled, and simply refuses to play the DVD'S.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am not familiar with the abbrevi.s used about what it plays, I have regular old fashion DVDs, & Blu-ray dvds will it play those?
This player will play home movies, old fashion DVD's, music, but it will NOT play Blu-ray DVD's. Included are the Red, Yellow, and White cables to hook up to an older TV. It is perfect for homeschool DVD's as it remembers the place where you left off.
