Mounts up easy and secure. Came with very large, strong bolts. I feel very confident hanging my very high end tv on it with no worries. Ease of use is also a huge plus. Good value.

Is there enough room behind a TV using this wall mount to plug in something like an Amazon fire stick?

The mount does fit very close to the wall. The wall mount does tilt which allows some room to be had. Also depends a lot on the location of your hdmi ports. If they are located on the side or bottom of tv you should have no issues. If the ports are located on the back with non angled ports it will most likely not work for you.
