The device works effortly to deliver high definition TV from DVD's.
The Sony works much better than the Sylvania player that also
has an HD port.
My only complaints are:
1) control is only possible with the remote controller
2) ejecting by remote requires multiple taps on the button.

probably a stupid question, but what is "upconversion"
It has a port for HDI. You get better quality if you use an HDI cable.

For playing CD's, does this player have a display that shows the track number that is playing and the length of the track, etc. on the display? Thank you.
