I have had several of these over the years and they work great, I don't know the difference but they also work good with Chromebook

I just received this the M310 in the mail. It's a Christmas gift, so I don't want to open it. On the back of the package there's an area that looks like something (battery, cord, etc.) could have been included. Was something left out of the package?
The ones I received only have the mouse, battery and I guess you call it the receiver that plugs into the computer or Chromebook, I think what your referring to is just a stand for display, it is empty and sealed.
