Works quite well! I made dozens of music CD's for my 2007 Jeep Cherokee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Watch your favorite movies in stunning high definition with this Sony DVPSR510H DVD player that features HD upconversion for a crystal-clear picture and Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS decoders for a lush soundscape.

Does not work well for wide screen movies

When I play a wide screen movie, it comes out compressed on the screen, making everything looking thin and tall. There is nothing on the remote to change that. On my old Toshiba VHS/DVD player, it automatically adjusts for that, but not the Sony DVD player. I had to put aside the Sony Player and hook back up my Toshiba VHS/DVD player after getting serviced so I can watch movies in better formats. I do not recommend this Sony unit for wide screen movies. It is okay for old standard screen movies from the 1940's, etc, or recorded TV shows, but not movies with wide screen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this unit but watching a wide screen movie, it comes out compressed on the screen with borders only on both sides. Normally for a wide screen movie there are borders on all 4 sides. I don't see anything on the remote to fix this.
