I'm starting to photograph 120 film and this scanner is what I was looking for. The scans are detailed, sharp and huge for everything I need. 35mm scans still need to be fine tuned (I might just create some spacers for the negative film holder to help with focusing). Also Epson scanning software is good, but not great. I prefer Silver Fast to handle my scans.
I would recommend this to a friend!

IS IT POSSIBLE TO SCAN AND SAVE ON USB USB CONNECTION?

As it pertains to what I use it for (scanning film negatives) no, you must use Epson Scan or a third party software to have full control over the output of your images.

Can this device work stand-alone? Can it scan directly to a USB drive?

Will it work with Mac OS Mojave?

Yes, I have it installed on Mojave. Epson Scan works fine.
