The best thing about this scanner is that it works with Windows 10s latest upgrade. My ten-year-old V100 just quit. Same scanner program so no learning curve. Its light is an LED so that is good. I can scan 2 negative strips instead of just one, and that is helpful as well. It has a great number of options when scanning slides and film, dust removal, color restoration, adjusting saturation, resolution, and lighting. I still put most of my scans through some post-production so to speak but there is less to do. I am pleased with the scanner.

How much better and quicker scanning can I expect with this model (Perfection V600) than with the Epson perfection 4180 Photo scanner? I want faster and better.

We have another Epson scanner / printer / copier (XP-440) and wanted to know if the software for the V600 will operate independently of the software for the other device; I want them both to work but don't want the two devices fighting over the software.

I am thinking of using this scanner to scan photos for a holiday photo book The company does not accept TIFF files. When 48 bit is selected in professional mode, 600dpi - what format is it saved in? Can it be saved in PNG?

I need to digitize 110 and 126 film negatives. Can I do this on the V600
The official answer is Yes. However, a 110 film holder is not available to scan this film size (16mm). To scan 110 film, place it face-down on the document table. (Your images and any wording on the film strips should appear backwards on the side that faces up).
