Do your research and you’ll find that most subwoofer humming is caused by electrical ground loop hums that can be solved with a good surge protector or ground isolator. Cables like this that cost 5x as much are really useless. I’ve had sub cables that cost in the $90 range - and this one. Couldn’t tell a difference and would not recommend spending more than $20-30 for a subwoofer cable of 20 feet.

I have these to hold my Martin Logan 2i speakers since I needed to place them on a slight angle and point down to the listening area.
They do their job and they do it well. I worry about how these will hold up over time and I wouldn’t recommend screwing/unscrewing often since I feel like the threads will ware over time.
A few weeks in and they are working great! Recommended!

I purchased these as Atmos height speakers combined with Martin Logan 4i/2i main speakers.
I was concerned how they would fit into this setup since they are clearly less than a match for Martin Logan speakers but since Atmos effects are subtle and not primary channels i decided to give them a shot.
I’m glad i did.
They were super easy to install (but running wires is a pain). The units themselves are very well made. The magnetic grills are a cinch to take on and off, the speaker wire binders are tight, and the entire unit feels solid as a rock.
The sound is great. I’m not testing these with full dynamic range and have only used them as my middle height speakers, and for that - they are excellent!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have these installed as rear channels in a 5.1.2 setup using a Marantz SR5013 receiver.
For rear effects they produce a great soundstage and compliment the 4i’s extremely well.
I wouldn’t recommend them for main channel’s as their limited dynamic range would have a hard time keeping up with more aggressive soundtracks like action movies or anything with heavy mid range.

I have these installed as main L/R channels with a Martin Logan center channel, and 2’s as rear surrounds.
For movies they are exceptional. They reproduce the clicks and whips of movies like Star Wars and Indiana jones with exceptional clarity and detail. Music in movies (especially horns and strings) sound breathtaking.
They are less than excellent for music since they lack deep bass and mid range but for a 5.1 or 7.1 speaker setup where a sub can fill in those missing ranges you’ll love it.

As a center channel, this is pretty great. I have this hooked up to a Marantz SR5013 and the dialogue from music and movies is stellar. For this price you’re not going to get exceptional mid range and bass but I still feel like this is a fantastic speaker for the price.
This was my first time owning a Martin Logan speaker - and the detail (especially in the treble range) was very clean and crisp without being too airy or edgy. I was concerned about an overly metallic or jarring sound stage but the balance is exceptional and joined with 4i’s and mains, and 2i’s as as surrounds - you have an amazing speaker package for movies.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was excited to try out this receiver for its great price and large feature set. The unit has Dolby Atmos, DTS X, auto Room calibration and HDMI ARC. It also has a pretty high power output for such a modest priced receiver.
I have owned Pioneer ELITE models in the past and have been mostly impressed with their sound, dependability, and performance.
After I hooked this unit up to my Martin Logan 4i speakers and ran the calibration utility, I immediately noticed how FLAT everything sounded. There was literally no life to any of the material i played. Music, effects, dialogue all lacked punch and the bass effects were severely limited.
I ran a firmware update to the unit, and completely restarted the process - reset to factory, reinstalled the speakers, and ran the calibration utility again to similar results.
The unit was dependable, passed through HDMI Arc signals reliably, and did a good job handing all of the equipment i plugged into it, but at the end of the day a receiver needs to sound good - and this unit just sounded dull and without expression so i returned it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve struggled with sound bars. I am a huge fan of home theater sound and NOT a fan of the large speakers and wires that one needs to run to get a great sounding system.
After a few years of development I thought sound bars would be a a great way to try them out - unfortunately - I’m not as impressed as I was hoping to be.
The pros:
-The sound is impressive for such a small system.
-The bass is deep and prominent
-Dialogue is mostly clear and focused
-All-in-one system is super streamlined and neat looking
-Set up was a breeze
-Best for rooms that have center-seating

All in all i was mostly impressed with the overall sonic impact. When you first turn on the system you can’t help but be impressed with the presence of the audio. It’s loud. It’s punchy. its in your face and pretty clear. But there is no precision. The front three channels blur into one large(ish) channel with subtle separation. The rear, side, and top channels are not easily distinguishable and blend together.
If this was a few hundred dollars it would be awesome for a second system or a bedroom but for a large dedicated living room you can do so much better with a receiver and speakers for less money... I think this is all about convenience and room pleasing aesthetics (no wires and streamlined setup).
If you are someone looking for a largely invisible system with bigger sound than your TV this is great - but if you are into precise audio with active surround sound and immersive audio - look elsewhere for less money.

I had this unit in my home for a few days to give it a try. While it has a good amount of features for the price (I picked it up on sale) where it falls short is the power that it supplies to the system.
The Denon had a hard time holding its own for movies with highly aggressive soundtracks like Twister, San Andreas and A Quite Place - where soundtracks range from low to peak power in an instant. I heard lots of clipping in a variety of scenes.
The Audyssey room correction on this unit is not terrible - but you can tell it is limited. The audio sweet spot is small, and the bass management of the unit is a little bottom heavy. It lacks mid range detail.
Great features, and a lot of value for your money - but I think it would best serve those with small rooms and speakers that do not need a lot of power.

I purchased the Onkyo TX NR797 because of its compelling price/feature ratio. It certainly offers a lot of features for a reasonably low price. THX Select Certification, Dolby Atmos, and IMAX Enhanced for $550 on sale? wow.
The unit itself feels pretty sturdy. Its hefty enough and feels well made. It comes with a good amount of accessories and feels like a quality product. Not premium. But good quality.
The setup was a snap, and pretty quick. Where i had some issues was with the HDMI switching (as many people have mentioned). I had lots of dropouts from my HDMI picture.
Audio, after calibration - was overly harsh, and seemed to lack precision and punch. I was surrounded by an aggression of treble and bass, but found myself wanting more mid range and vocal presence for music and movies.
Not a horrible unit - but if you are a critical listener or someone running 4K HDR and high bandwidth - look elsewhere.
