We like the quality picture and sound. Very easy to use also. Initial setup included a software update and numerous restarts and took about 30 minutes. Warning though: We thought we could part with our FireTV device by getting this TV, but the built-in Fire capability does not have enough computing power to play games like JackBox TV. It will steam video just fine though. Another issue we have is occasionally losing signal from the HDMI inputs we route through a receiver (cable, blue ray, and our original FireTV). We do like it’s power saver features and hopefully can figure out the signal loss issue soon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This NETGEAR Gigabit unmanaged switch helps businesses cost effectively expand their network to Gigabit speeds and high port counts. The GS105 switch comes with 5 Gigabit copper ports in a desktop metal case and is wall-mountable. This switch is energy-efficient, built to last, and rigorously tested to provide the reliability businesses need. 802.1p traffic prioritization and jumbo frame support allow for seamless integration with sophisticated networks.

Does this act as the modem ? I have satellite internet and my line coming into home is Ethernet. Do I plug to this then to router ?

No it is not a modem. You may have this solved by now, but it is just a device to give you more LAN ports. If your incoming Internet connection is an Ethernet cable, you don’t actually need a modem.

Is this switch compatible with a mesh router (Google Home)? Will it have any negative effects on it? Thanks

Yes, it’s best use is to split a LAN port so that multiple devices can pull an IP address from an Internet gateway or a router. So if you go from Internet gateway (modem) to switch then to your Google home, that will also let you connect a few other devices to the switch and they will have wired Internet.
