I got this to add on to my Sony soundbar and they really do help make sound more dynamic / cinematic.
I feel 299.00 is a little high but the only cord that’s attached to the speakers is the power cord

I bought a Samsung Q60R soundbar last week and I’m happy switched it for this Sony. The sound quality is amazing compared to the Samsung Q60R. I did purchase the rear speakers with this set and it’s amazing how good the quality is compared to the Samsung Q60R.
What I love about the Sony is that it actually works.
The Samsung Q60R would constantly cut out sound or video when I would use the built in HDMI ports. I have had not had this issue with the Sony.
At first the Sony subwoofer and rear speakers did cutting out but that was fixed after I installed the software update.
The Sony feels more like a move theater experience. The Samsung Q60R attempted that but when you compare the 2 you can truly hear how cheap the Samsung sound is (especially the rear speakers).
Overall I’m happy with my purchase. The soundbar works properly and the audio quality is amazing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought an open box one. Got it home and it did not turn on. I returned and exchanged it with a brand new one at Best Buy with no hassle. It’s been 3 days and now the HDMI port only shows video with no audio or does no work at all. . I verified that it’s not a bad cable and that the cable does allow 4K HDR. I then connected the soundbar via optical to the TV but now the TV input option from the soundbar is not available.
So I have a useless soundbar. That only displays video. FYI this was my first Samsung product and will be my last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The VR is fun but for the price I shouldn’t see pixelation. When I read up on this the VR only display 1080p. So I’d rather wait for v2.0 that suppers 4K HDR for a truly realistic picture
Also this gave me motion sickness but I didn’t factor that into the score.

Is this cable Dolby Vision mark certified? I just got a new 4k apple tv and it won't work properly with our new Sony 4k television. The apple tv will not connect at 4K; only HD at a lower frame/refresh rate.
The max output for the Apple TV 4K is Dolby Vision @ 60HZ. If you are not seeing Dolby Vision as an option you'll need to set your HDMI input on your Sony TV to "Enhanced (Dolby Vision)". Once this is enabled you'll be able to select the Dolby Vision output option on the AppleTV and it will work.
