While the 8GB and 12GB HDs get more press coverage, this 4GB unit, if you can find it while it's on sale, is a good drive for various purposes. I use this one for backing up a couple of 1TB HDs and a 2TB HD. While these HDs do come already formatted, it's a good idea to re-format them using your operating system's normal procedure just so they are set up by your computer and don't have to rely upon WD's "factory formatting" (which may or may not be perfect).

I have an HP from 2016 and the card they provided (a 2GB GTX960) was a dog with Lightroom. This 1600 Super runs so much better, is quiet, is a short length (so it won't fill up my case), and uses the original 6 pin connector -plus- the 2-pin. Installation was fairly straightforward and the proper software was automatically downloaded/installed by Windows. It's half the price of a high-end card and is spec'd at the same power requirement as the older card it's replacing. This card checks all the boxes - price, speed, power req's, and it's quiet.
I'll also note that, though its says it may be overclocked, I'm leaving it at its stock speed.

The price was right as was the size. I re-formatted it for Mac and it became a TimeMachine backup drive. Works fine. Maybe they think the "Gaming" moniker helps for marketing. :D

Bought this to replace an old (very old) Brother MFC whose jets had clogged irreparably. The setup was easy although it defaults to requiring you to confirm a paper size change every time you actually change the size in the rear feed. Luckily, this may be disabled in the settings so it just works as you would expect when you change the paper size and specify that size in the computer's Printer Setup (Page Setup) dialog. Not worth removing a star for that as it's easy to fix.
The ink tank system is easy to fill. I found there was extra ink remaining in the bottles after the initial fill so I kept the bottles around for a couple of weeks and, when the ink level had gone down a bit, I placed the bottles back into the fill positions and the rest of the ink drained into the tanks. (My printer came with an extra black tank; unexpected bonus, I guess.)
Printing normal quality happens at a reasonable speed. There is a faster setting and that does reduce the quality a little but not unexpected. The higher/highest quality settings (on photo paper!) look great although the print speed is v-e-r-y slow. (That's not a complaint.)
My default printer is a Brother B&W laser. I only use this Epson color printer for photos (yeah, I know it's only a 4-color but the quality is excellent) and the occasional event card.
It's connected to my Mac via USB. I do have it connected to my network via WiFi (no Ethernet port) and the rest of my Macs, PCs, and Android phones can print to it just fine.
BTW: I powered off the printer and, when I returned from a month-long trip, it printed perfectly without any clogs. Can't ask for more.

I will buy either Samsung or SanDisk SSDs. I prefer the Samsungs as they seem to be slightly faster but, for older Macs and PCs, it usually doesn't matter. One thing to be aware of, however: Check if your older Mac is using an nvidia controller; this SSD will run only at 1.5Gbps in such a Mac (instead of the 3.0Gbps you would expect). Apparently, this is an expected issue with those old Macs; they can't deal with the 6Gbps SSD chip in these SanDisk units (whereas Samsung's SSD chip is backward-compatible).
All the above being said, this SanDisk SSD, if found at a competitive price, is a good unit.

This is the 2017 model which hasn't changed but is still sold new.
- The keyboard is the older "scissor-type" which is 100% reliable (not like the newer "butterfly-type" which were defective from day 1 and will have to be repaired annually).
- The SSD, although "only" a 128GB, may be upgraded as it's in an internal slot and takes about 15 minutes to do the upgrade. The later machines have SSDs soldered to the motherboard so, if you want anything larger, you're out of luck. Additionally, should a soldered-in-place SSD fail, that requires an entire motherboard.
- The screen isn't a "Retina" type but that means it doesn't suck down the battery's charge trying to refreash all those (essentially useless) extra pixels.

I bought this to replace my wife's 2011 Air which finally bit the dust. She wanted the same thing she's been using for years. Done. If she ever needs more storage space, I can upgrade the SSD. Try that with any other new notebook Mac!
Excellent machine. You can bet Apple will discontinue this Air because it's a much better bargain the the more expensive "2018" Air (and is much more reliable).

I normally buy Anker brand USB3 hubs but I needed one "right now" and BB doesn't carry Anker and this one had a lot of good reviews. Everything plugged in and worked perfectly.
If there's any negative issue, it's that it -is- very small and light weight so the various cables you plug in tend to shift the position of the hub; sort of "the tail wagging the dog". I imagine being liightweight and small would be considered a benefit if this hub was to be packed in your laptop bag for travel. The power adapter is not tiny but, if you want to power portable drives that need power from the hub, you need plenty of Amps.
I'll probably use a few pieces of sticky-backed velcro to keep the hub positioned securely. Nothing worth removing stars from the review.

Bought this to replace my wife's old iPhone SE. She'll need a few weeks to get totally comfortable with it but, as I have been an Android guy for Years, I'm here to help. I'm very happy with the speed, screen and the awesome camera. Took a bit extra to get WhatsApp running properly but that was the transfer from iOS that was the cause. Once I backed up her account, uninstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp, and registered her account, all was fine. Great value, especially with last week's $120 discount. Would buy it again.

Can this device be used between a pc and a mac at the same time?
If all you wish to do is have a drive that both the Mac and the PC may both read from and write to, then format the drive as FAT32 (if your file sizes will be smaller than 4GB). Some restrictions in file naming may also happen - don't remember exactly what they are at this moment). Otherwise use ExFAT and 4GB+ and long filenames are supported. Do not use HFS+ or APFS (Apple file systems) nor should you use NTFS as Macs can read but can't write to it.

SanDisk (and all the drive mfr's) periodically update their products. Whatever changes are made are designed to improve performance and/or reliability. To delve into the specifics of the changes is to get lost in the weeds. Just make sure you backup everything and register your warranty.

Purchased this unit a year ago. Seems to work fine, but greatly limits the speed to devices connected to it. I understand that this is normal for extenders, but are they all created equal? Are there other extenders that will pass a higher speed through?

Can I plug this out in the garage and still get reception from the house
Generally speaking, yes. Remember that the extender will only provide as good a signal as -it- receives so check with your laptop at various distances from the router (wifi access point) toward the garage. If the laptop loses signal, that's too far away to plug in the extender. You might try the half-way point (between the router and the garage) and, if you get a good signal there, plug in the extender there. That will replicate essentially the same strength signal from that point.

No; not directly from the camera. You may download photos from eMails you receive or sharing sites (Google Drive, etc.) but the storage on this device is limited so you're better off using an online photo site (Google Photos, Shutterfly) and the appropriate app for that site to view your photos as you will fill this quite quickly.

No; this is only for connecting a newer Mac with a MagSafe2 port to an older power brick (with a MagSafe tip). Do note that the latest MacBooks/Pros use a USBC power port so this adapter will not work for you in this case. The MacBook Air is still (as I write this) using a MagSafe2 power port.
