In all MacBook Pros newer than 2010 and iMacs newer than 2009, this should work beautifully. Do check whether your Mac uses the Nvidia chipset for the hard drive controller; such old Macs can;t use modern SSDs like this one. Why? These SSDs are 6G speed and the old Macs only know how to deal with 3G SSDs; if they encounter a 6G SSD, they'll only run at 1.5G speed (and you won't be happy).
But, if your Mac is newer, this SanDisk works like a charm (at 6G speed) and will probably double or triple your Mac's speed. This is an inexpensive upgrade (for PCs, too!).

There are faster SSDs but if you're not using it in a top-tier machine, why bother spending more $$ than necessary? This CS900 is the more economical version of the excellent CS1311. This one works fine in both Macs and PCs. Older Macs with Nvidia 3G HD controller chips are finicky and will, if provided with a 6G HD, only run at 1.5G. The PNYs (both CS1311 and CS900) overcome that issue and work at 3G speed with a 3G controller chip. This is a good product,

A USB mouse is a USB mouse. This one has both buttons (left-right) and a functional scroll-wheel for...yes, scrolling. Everything works fine with this mouse on both Macs and PCs (Linux/Windows).

If you're into Amazon's eco-system, this Fire works great. The price is usually a real bargain ($40-60) as Amazon is subsidizing its cost in order to reel you into Kindle books and everything else they sell (streaming video, etc.).
Do note, however, that it is quite easy to install four files that expand the capabilities of this device so that it may use all of the items from Google's Play Store including their very nice Play Books app so, with this slight mod, it permits books from all sorts of sources. I'm very happy with mine and travel with it.

When (if) you buy a newer MacBook (Pro/Air) that has the MagSafe2 power brick, what do you do with the extra MagSafe (older) power brick you bought for your old Mac? Well, buy this little adapter and make the old power brick fit the new Mac perfectly. I epoxy'd mine to a lanyard so I wouldn't lose it. Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid because the magnet that connects this adapter to the power brick is very strong.

The difference is price between cheap RAM and quality RAM is really very little. This is an area where you don't want to "cheap out". Corsair RAM is fine. Just make sure you double-check your machine's requirements so you buy exactly what you need.

Speedy, reliable SSD. Mac-compatible - though probably not for the older NVidia HD controller chip in Macs from '06-'09 - check if your Mac has that chipset before buying this drive) - but that should not be taken as a complaint; with the correct Mac (most 2010 or newer), this is a great SSD and should now be available at lower prices now that Samsung has started making their 4TB SSDs.

Can this device be used between a pc and a mac at the same time?
If all you wish to do is have a drive that both the Mac and the PC may both read from and write to, then format the drive as FAT32 (if your file sizes will be smaller than 4GB). Some restrictions in file naming may also happen - don't remember exactly what they are at this moment). Otherwise use ExFAT and 4GB+ and long filenames are supported. Do not use HFS+ or APFS (Apple file systems) nor should you use NTFS as Macs can read but can't write to it.

SanDisk (and all the drive mfr's) periodically update their products. Whatever changes are made are designed to improve performance and/or reliability. To delve into the specifics of the changes is to get lost in the weeds. Just make sure you backup everything and register your warranty.

Purchased this unit a year ago. Seems to work fine, but greatly limits the speed to devices connected to it. I understand that this is normal for extenders, but are they all created equal? Are there other extenders that will pass a higher speed through?

Can I plug this out in the garage and still get reception from the house
Generally speaking, yes. Remember that the extender will only provide as good a signal as -it- receives so check with your laptop at various distances from the router (wifi access point) toward the garage. If the laptop loses signal, that's too far away to plug in the extender. You might try the half-way point (between the router and the garage) and, if you get a good signal there, plug in the extender there. That will replicate essentially the same strength signal from that point.

can I download pictures from my kodak camera ? kodak easy share. you tube, face book, flickr, 12 mga. I have a amazon fire hd 8" 7th gen. 2017 release tablet....Geek saya I can't is that true ?
No; not directly from the camera. You may download photos from eMails you receive or sharing sites (Google Drive, etc.) but the storage on this device is limited so you're better off using an online photo site (Google Photos, Shutterfly) and the appropriate app for that site to view your photos as you will fill this quite quickly.

Can this be used to connect an older MacBook to a newer MagSafe 2 charger?
No; this is only for connecting a newer Mac with a MagSafe2 port to an older power brick (with a MagSafe tip). Do note that the latest MacBooks/Pros use a USBC power port so this adapter will not work for you in this case. The MacBook Air is still (as I write this) using a MagSafe2 power port.
