Really my only gripe with this tablet is the screen resolution. In this age of ultra-sharp screens, this one is a throw back to 2012. Other than that, this is a great device. Long battery life, very light to hold, a pretty responsive touch screen and processor, and expandable memory make for a quality device.

Much to like about this laptop: build quality that is like a tank, accurate and clear retina display, one of the best keyboards and track pads in the business, OS X runs fast and the battery life is great (expect about 10-11 hours unless you are constantly running intensive programs).
My only gripe is that for the price Apple is providing an undersized hard drive - a problem across all of their devices in my opinion. Yes, you can supplement the storage space with use of the cloud and an external USB drive, but it would be nice to be able to store more movie projects, photos and music locally.

Large Improvement from Surface Pro 3 Keyboard

As someone who owned a Surface Pro 3 Keyboard, I definitely recommend the upgrade to this newer model. The key spacing is great, and really increases typing accuracy. The travel of the keys has also been improved for better feedback. The trackpad is worlds more accurate versus the prior model as well. The only thing I would improve upon is likely a software issue - sometimes the Surface Pro 4 does not recognize that the keyboard has been attached and the device must be shut down for it to link correctly.

Not Quite as Billed

I love the concept of a tablet that can also double as a computer, but unfortunately due to bugs inherent in Windows and the hardware not being as advertised, I don't think we are there yet. It really is a shame, because the display is gorgeous and the size and weight are pretty good. You will most likely find yourself resetting the device at least once every couple of days due to one software issue or another - sometimes the pen is not recognized, sometimes the keyboard is not recognized, and there will be a random software freeze that will not resolve itself. Also, battery life is nowhere near the 8-9 hours advertised. Plan on an average of only 5-6 hours: terrible for a tablet and barely acceptable for a laptop in 2016. I recommend waiting another generation or two for this device and hopefully advancements will be made in reliability and battery life.

If you are someone who enjoys reading for long periods of time, then you will really like the Kindle Paperwhite. The battery life is phenomenal, usually only requiring charging once every 7-10 days with daily reading. The text is very crisp and clear. The backlight is nice for reading in the dark, however you will note a little uneven lighting and a 'ghost' effect of text at times in the background. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who reads for long periods of time.

I regret purchasing these headphones versus ones by Sony that I have owned in the past. The ear clips are not long enough to keep the headphones stable while I run, so they are constantly falling out or need to be repositioned. I also think that the sound quality of the Sony devices are superior.
