This thing is amazing. The app and the setup with WiFi was not a great experience. But once I got it going and cooked my first burgers in the Sous Vide, wow. I’ve had it theee days and used it 3 times. Ribeye steaks the last 2 nights and I plan on using it 4 times this week. I had never used a water precision cooker before this one, and I can’t believe what I’ve been missing.
The app is cool to use but I haven’t tried pre heating the water away from the home yet. So really it’s just setting temp and time on your phone instead of on the precision cooker itself. The cheaper models will most likely do the exact same thing except you can’t control them over WiFi. So if your now looking to spend a ton of money, you could get a cheaper model instead of this one.
I’d recommend getting a food saver if you don’t have one. You could use the water displacement strategy if all you have is ziplock bags, but once you vacuum seal your food days ahead of time, you’ll never go back.
You should also get a cast iron skillet to sear you food. I’ve done around 45 seconds in each side of the meat and it’s been perfectly cooked. Every time.

I was not aware of what these even were until a few weeks ago. My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves them. It is really fun for her to open these up. Each layer has something included like some stickers or a picture. Once the ball is opened, there are packages to open that could have shoes, a hat, a dress or other accessories for the doll. An inexpensive purchase that reminds me of what opening up packs of baseball cards were when I was a kid.

I got this bad boy a few days after getting a 65X930E. This should almost be a must have to go with any TV with HDR. The movie library will catch up soon and the movie pricing will go down. Watching a movie in HDR reminds me of seeing HD for the first time. Everything pops. Even the most boring scenes in previous viewings become something that you pay attention to.
The actual player is pretty bland at the moment. Basic menus and very little apps. Apps did not factor in my review though because if you have a smart tv or a fire stick, then why would I ever use them?
The dual HDMI output was key for me because my Denon Atmos receiver does not support HDR. Hooking up a second HDMI to my TV is only a minor inconvenience when you hear Pacific Rim in Dolby Armos.
The actual player looks awesome on my TV stand. An awesome black box that was heavier than I expected, but the performance matches with the look and is just fantastic.
Also if you get one in the next couple of months, you can register to get 2 free 4K BluRays from the Sony picture store. Nothing amazing, but I picked up Angry Birds for free and it looks ridiculous.
