Essential addition to the K550 soundbar

After three months of ownership I have zero regrets.
I have the HW-K550 Soundbar paired with the SWA-8000S/ZA wireless rear surround speakers.
The room is a large open family room/dining/kitchen area and I have the sound bar sitting on a swivel along with an LG 55EG9100 display connected via HDMI ARC.
I can watch the display from all the way across the space and still get clear rich sound and dialog from the 3.1 channels of sound bar while only setting the volume to 30 (it goes to 50)
All of the 5.1 multi-channel content I have listened to through the soundbar/wireless rear combo has been great.
While I think a full receiver/wired 5.1 speaker combo may sound better, I fully enjoy what I get out this 5.1 combo and don’t miss all the wires and extra components.
I spent some time adjusting the various settings on the sound bar until I hit a combo that works well for just about all the content I listen to.

This Samsung 340W soundbar provides intense and powerful sound. It is a wired soundbar system and has Bluetooth, HDMI and USB connectivity so it can be versatile to suit your sound requirements. This soundbar is 37.1 inches long and comes with a 7-inch subwoofer for wholesome sound. The Samsung 340W soundbar can be wall mounted for convenience.

The wireless subwoofer is a bit underwhelming, but the level is adjustable via the soundbar and I think it gives just enough bass so as not to shake the whole house but to fit the content you are listening to just fine.

The 55EG9100 display (even at 1080P) looks better to me than almost any 4K LED TV regardless of the source content.
I spent a few hours in the store looking at every display and tweaking the settings.
Still there was no doubt the OLED display was superior.
If I had one thing that concerned me, it was some visual artifacts during some very dark scenes. Not in every show or movie, but often enough for me to notice.
I have recently upgraded the software, and so far I am noticing the artifacts much less often, so kudos to LG for that.
Also, I am using the TV as my audio hub. All devices plugged in to the TV and then using HDMI ARC out to a multi-channel sound bar.
Roku 3, Cable box, and Apple TV 3rd gen have been used with this display.
No complaints here at all. The display seems to be able to handle and pass through various audio sources well enough.
