Great Camera for Neophyte Handymen/women

The four-cam system easily installed at my Florida Place. Found that the magnetic bases could be easily installed outdoors and on trees to eliminate 'blind spots' The extra two bases allowed the cameras to be moved for special events. Needed a dual band WIF router to put streaming stuff on the new 5GHZ band and Ethernet since this system with 4 cams operates on the old 2.4GHZ standard band.

Not very useful for today's laptops

The kit is designed primarily for desktops. There really should be two small individual screwdrivers (slot & phillips) for todays laptops and hard-drives that have tiny screws.
Thus the average user will not wish to buy this kit, unless planning to use only for desktops, servers, and the like.

What's great about it: OK FOR DESKTOP PCs.
What's not so great: Tools too large for today's laptops.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How dependable are, and how often do the batteries require re-charge or replacement. Is there a low battery indication transmitted in this event?
Battery reliability..
The system gives a low battery indication automatically. The batteries CR123A that come with the package are not rechargeable. I have not checked the open market for rechargeables for this battery type, but they would need to use an external (from the cam) charger. I would expect much shorter bat life from rechargeables than the stock super-long life Lithiums.

Yes, Netgear includes a full set of Long Life Lithium batteries.
