I wanted to get an 8000 series but the base made it such that it wouldn't fit well in the space, so I got a 7000 instead. The picture and color are excellent. Typically I have to play with the color settings a bit, but I just turned on the HDR feature and that was it. No issues with this purchase.

Does a great job of maintaining temperature. Easy access to refrigerator and freezer compartments. Had to pull a bit to get the freezer to open completely but is fine now. Vegetables and fruits seem to be kept fresh. Only downside is the ice maker. I think Samsung uses some sort of "fast" process which results in frosty as opposed to clear ice, enough to make you think your water is hard. That and you end up with partially crushed ice versus whole cubes when using the dispenser. And there is a clunk when the ice drops. Were it not for the ice maker I would give it 5 starts.
LG Door-in-Door 28.6 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water: It's easy to keep groceries organized and fresh in this spacious, intelligently designed LG refrigerator. With convenient features like a water and ice dispenser and door-in-door bin access, there's no need to constantly open the door just to grab a few frequently used items. This ensures other foods remain cool and keeps the refrigerator energy-efficient.
We really like the function and storage of this refrigerator. However, the fan driving air to the upper ice maker was loud and the temperature in the unit was higher than the door setting (42-44 vs 37). Since there is not an inner sensor you have to put your own in the fridge. In theory replacing the upper ice fan would address both issues.
The service guy replaced the fan (basically the whole back panel in the freezer) and there was a bit less noise, but still more than expected based upon other reviews (it can be heard in an adjoining room in any case). Now the temperature in the fridge reads 26-30 vs 37 so we will have another visit from the tech to address that.
Don't know if we got a lemon or not. Really like the functionality and storage, not thrilled based upon the noise and temperature control.

Assuming you have HDMI cables you should be able to use the same cables you currently have.
