Nice TV, but no comparison to the XBR65X900E

My wife and I purchased this TV for our bedroom and it is a very nice TV. Love the Android TV, BUT when compared to our XBR65X900E that we have in our living room there is NO comparison! These 2 TV's are not even in the same league. Hard to justify $600 more to bump our bedroom TV up to the 900E series, but still debating on returning and exchanging there IS THAT BIG OF A DIFFERENCE. The 850D is a nice TV and if you don't have an 900E, you wouldn't know how big of a difference there is in the 2 and would probably be very happy with this TV. I would recommend it to others based on the fact it is an all around nice 4K TV with a great wifi card, ANDROID TV rocks, the speakers are just ok but on par with most other flat screens.

I purchased this about a month ago and while watching TV the screen would flicker (like you had turned the cable box off and then back on) for no apparent reason. Switched cables, did the same thing. Switched to a different input, did the same thing. Returned it and purchased a Denon 920W and have yet to have this problem.
Unit looks great, but it in no way compares to the Denon I purchased to replace it. And the Denon has a lot for features like Atmos.
It could have just been a defective unit, but after reading online of others experiencing the same thing, I believe it is an issue with all of this model.

EXCELLENT Choice for a 4K TV

I purchased this TV after reading many reviews comparing TV's. My advice is to stop reading reviews and researching and PURCHASE this TV. It is awesome in every way (except speakers and I would grade them above average for flat screen tv's). Android TV is excellent. Wi-fi in this TV is great and has never dropped signal in the month or so I have owned this TV. I came from a Panasonic Plasma and was very reluctant to upgrade to 4K because I didn't want to give up the extrememly dark blacks that a plasma tv is known for, BUT this XBR65X900E (and is FAR better than the XBR55X850D in my bedroom) is just as good if not better than the plasma on black levels. The full array, local dimming backlighting does an amazing job and 4K movies will blow you away with crisp colors and clarity. The upscaling does an amazing job as well. I give this TV a full 5 stars and you will not regret this purchase. The price difference to the 930E is not worth it in my opinion (save that extra money and put towards a 4K player and surround sound system).
