Picture not clear - took back for another brand

Had an Insignia and accidentally cracked the screen so bought the Vizio to replace it. Got it home and started watching. The Insignia was a 720 vs. the 1080 for he Vizio. Vizio's picture was "hazy" compared to the Insignia. Took the Vizio back and purchased a Samsung. Would have purchased an Insignia but the store was out of stock.
