At first it seems durably built, but I carried it around in my pocket for 2 days, why, I don't know. Anyway the rubber gasket started to come out from where the two molded halves join.
All that said, this product wasn't meant to be carried in a pocket, rather inserted into a TV. So as far as its performance, it is just fine. One draw back is the pricing, if you have to have it right now while in the store, then it is what it is, but if you can go online, they are up to 90% cheaper elsewhere.
I would recommend in a bind only.

This lap top has only one drawback thus far, its a bit slow. This is the first time I have used an ASUS. It is a very sleek and light weight design, which I needed.
It has great computing power thus far, but tends to lag just a bit with huge data files. I would recommend the PC, but would also recommend upgrading the HDD.

What would extended warranty cost on this tv
I cant see spending money for an extended warranty on a $400 TV. You can get a 3 year extended for about $100. That gives you 5 to 6 years in warranty.

What is the length of the feet? I'd like it to sit on my 10 inch mantel without having to mount it.
this answer is not precise, but pretty close......the total depth with the stand is 9.6 inches..........

Is this good for viewing MMA events? Will the picture lag?
You may experience some slight pixilation......always try and stay 120hz to 240hz for action. This also can be affected by the service that you are getting UFC on, ie. Comcast, time warner, DirecTV, etc.

How is the factory sound
I have an older Samsung. Doing fine but tv shows now have so much background noise and music in them now I can't hear dialogue! My current ones stand makes a sound bar difficult. Will I need one on this ?
I have ran into the same issues, I would say 8 out of 10 times with older TV's. I have cured some by simply adjusting the equalizer setting on the TV, say 2 out of those 8.
A good sound bar would be the way to go. I wouldn't elect to buy a cheaper one, if I have the budget that is. Working in this industry everyday for the last 13 years, I would say economically a Yamaha Sound Bar such as the YAS 201 or 203, would be the way to go.
These sound bars will not only give you back your clear voice but have surround built in as well. Now if you have the budget I would go with a YSP2500 or the like.

Will this remote control a Comcast Xfinity X1 box?
I've checked the Logitech compatibility tool, and after providing the model number of the X1 box,it only says their remotes will work with that model, but nothing specifically saying this remote will do the job.
It will not control the X1. I have tried the 650 as well and neither will work.
