I wrote carp in the description because they won't let you say c r a p. I buy these like once a month. they are garbage, but still cheaper than apple's and they fit in a life proof case. but they break down so quickly… I recommend monoprice if you have time to wait.

I bought this to power a large 3d printer I'm building, so my review for a pc power supply is kinda useless to the casual buyer. it was cheap and is made by themaltake, a good brand when it comes to quiet and cooling, and I guess their psus are decent. I bought a 430 for my printrbot play it has been working nicely as a general power supply. haven't really used this one yet, but I get 25 points for every review I complete, so there's that.
This 430W power supply supports most Intel® and AMD processors and is compatible with NVIDIA and ATI/AMD graphics cards for wide-ranging compatibility. Built-in fans automatically adjust speed according to temperature for low operating noise.

I got this because I needed a psu for my 3d printer. I can't speak to the quality as a pc psu but it is a thermal take so there's that. I love it it's quiet and it had plenty of power for a heated bed.

How can you make the Slider work to open up the different plug configurations??
I bought this product at Best Buy and returned it. The staff as well as myself could not slide the levers so the different plugs would extend outward. The slider should slide easily so one can extend the different plugs. Is there something wrong with this device? Are you suppose to put some weight on the slider to make it slide.
Is this product appropriate to charge up my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. If not, please recommend another product by Insignia.
You don't need a special adapter to charge your phone. Just the usb cable it came with and a USB port. If you are unsure if which wall plug adapter you need for the country you are visiting, then buy a usb wall charger when you get to that country.

why is it not recommended for hair dryer?
traveling to china and bought Insignia All-In-One travel adapter/converter would like to use a hair dryer and curling iron that have built in 110-220 adapter
Never bring hair dryers and curling irons on trips. They won't work when you get there and it's cheaper to buy one in the country you are visiting than to get the necessary adapters to make them work. Unless you have one designed for use with 230v.

what converter do i need ?
i want to plug in in US 120 v and operate in euro voltage a piece of equiptment less than 1000 watts. what converter do i need ? thanks
You need an electrician. This will not do any of that. Europe uses 230v the way we use 120v. For this you will need a very expensive step up transformer. And if it will need anywhere near 1000w. Then you are looking at a ton of money.

how can it charge an ereader if you can only use it for 10 to 15 minutes at a time
You don't need this. Your ereader came with a usb charger. Any usb charger will work with your device. all you need is either a plug type changing adapter or just buy a usb wall wart when you get off the plane.

What types of items can you use adapter for?
If you cannot use the adapter for curling irons, laptops or ipad, what can you use it for?
It's better to buy curling irons and blow dryers in Europe. An adapter that can handle the amount of watts you are looking at will be just as expensive. This adapter is for changing voltages from 230/240 to 115/120. Your laptop charger can already do this so a cheap plug changing adapter will work just fine. This adapter is for devices that do not have a transformer in them and require 120v exclusively. And for the life of me, I can't really think of any devices that use less than 50w that wouldn't have their own transformer. Maybe incandescent light bulbs?

Adapter
Recommended apapter that works in England, Italy, eastern Europe, Spain for electric shaver, Ipad Iphone coming from US
You will need multiple adapters. Or you can look for ones that work like a Swiss army knife. That has all the different plugs in one adapter. Belkin and insignia make one I think.
