Economical ink

The Brother inkjet printers use a separate cartridge for each ink color. This is a much better system than having multiple colors in the same cartridge. The trick is that you must replace the ink as soon as it runs out. If you let the print head dry out, it will be permanently damaged.

A well-designed product with one shortcoming

The Sideclick is a well-designed attractive product that attaches snugly on the Roku remote. It's very easy to program and works exactly as promised. My only complaint is that ideally it should have at least two more programmable buttons if you plan to use it to navigate and select over-the-air (OTA) broadcast TV channels from your smart TV's channel list or program guide. Presently, I can change channels sequentially up or down, activate the channel list and program guide, and then scroll up or down through pages of channels or programs. However, the product needs two additional programmable buttons to allow me to navigate to a specific channel on a particular page of the channel list or program guide and then select it to watch.

Keep your existing Brother printer producing bright, vibrant color with these Brother LC-1033PKS cartridges, which offer cyan, magenta and yellow ink for a wide gamut of hues.

I've used Brother inkjet cartridges for years and never had a problem with them drying out inside the cartridge as they age or clogging the print head in the printer (like some HP inks). Brother inks are less vivid than other brands when printing high resolution photos on glossy photo paper, but they perform well for everyday document printing. The ink drys fast on paper with no streaking or smearing.

The Roku interface is much more intuitive and faster than the "smart hub" in my Samsung TV or the streaming feature in my Panasonic Blu-ray player. Unlike the dual-core processors in the Roku 1, SE and Express, the Roku Streaming Stick has a quad-core processor for superior app loading speed. There's no box underneath the TV: the stick is hidden behind the set and its remote control works even when aimed away from the screen with no line-of-sight directional pointing required. Signing up online and activating the device was quick and simple. I've read that the HDMI jacks on some TVs can't support the weight of the streaming stick when connected. I experienced no such problem myself, but the instructions say that If this happens, Roku will send you an HDMI extension cable free of charge. Basically, it's a well-designed product for the price.

If you print regularly, having separate ink cartridges for each color is the way to go. With printers that use combined tri-color cartridges, you often replace cartridges that are still half-full because one of the three colors inside has run out.

We've owned the original expensive penguin shaped SodaStream model for many years and purchased this new lower-priced one as a gift. The plastic bottle on the new SodaStream Source can be rather difficult to snap in place in the unit for carbonation. It took some practice before we got it to work correctly. We mostly use this machine to make our own low-sugar low-sodium fizzy drinks and not to try to duplicate the taste of bottled soda. If you plan to buy this to make Coke or Pepsi style drinks at home, you''ll probably be disappointed. The lemon-lime and Country Time Lemonade syrups are very good, the Dr Pepper clone syrup is OK, but the others we've tried didn't taste like name-brand bottled drinks. However, I've had success making good alcoholic mixed drinks with this machine using concentrated lemon. lime, cherry and pomegranate juices.

Can I use this to replace my broken remote for the tv? Or would I need an extra piece as well?
No. The Slideclick remote control is programmed by pointing it at your existing TV remote control and then it memorizes the functions of specific buttons. If you lost the original TV remote control, you can purchase a basic RCA universal remote at Best Buy for $10 that automatically searches for the product code for your TV model and functions as a substitute for the missing remote.
