landline phone good in case power goes out

I purchased this phone because the digital phones need power in order to work. I have digital cordless phones for convenience but batteries never last long enough. I rarely use my landline except for Internet connection but I keep the landline for a back up. Easy for 911 calls from residence and if the power goes out... my landline is still operational!!! I have an older home which already had the wall mount so it was as simple as opening the box and putting up the phone. But this phone can be used as a desktop phone too. Affordable price makes this a no brainer to have as an option.

My home was build in 1952 and I have a small galley kitchen. My last refrigerator was a new model and 26 cu ft. It stuck out past the doorway and I felt it did not fit in the kitchen. I did my research and decided to downsize to a refrigerator that fit in my kitchen. This refrigerator is exactly what I hoped for!
The counter depth was the best size for me. I thought I would compromise in size but I don't feel that the 23 cu ft is much smaller inside than my 26 cu ft.
My biggest concern was the description of the color. Pearl White confused me. I do not like stainless steal and so I took a chance on this refrigerator which I purchased without ever physically seeing. I was afraid pearl white might be a creamish color but no it was white just like the other appliances in my kitchen. I wonder how many people hesitated on their purchase because of the wording pearl white.
There seems to be some crackling noises like it might be coming from the ice maker or just settling in. Nothing to really concern me. I chock it up to house noises.
I am very happy with my purchase so far. I've had it for two weeks now.

The TV is the perfect size for my bedroom. I researched the make and model of TV before purchasing. I made my choice in TV and found it on sale at Best Buy which is where I buy most of my electronics and appliance. I do so because I think their extra warranty is reasonably priced and I like the assurance that I did not just buy a lemon. TV met all of my needs for a bedroom TV. I think I would have liked more technolgy for a living room TV so this would not be my choice for the living room or primary tv.
