While this charger works, I find it awkward to get the controller seated into the charger. I just want to be able to drop the controller in and it starts charging, not sit there and align and push.

I have an easy setup as I only have heat, oil heater with baseboard radiators. But it works with no issues.
Super easy to setup and get up and running. Pull off your old thermostat, look at those labels where the wires are connected to, label them if necessary. Connect your new Nest and connect the wires. Setup screen is super easy and walks you through the settings.
The app is easy to use. I started with a week of learning to build out a basic schedule and then we control it with the app or have it detect when we are not home. Easy and my heat runs much less now.
I was worried about setup, replacing a rectangle thermostat with a circle one usually leaves unfinished walls. But there is a great rectangle plate that you can install that covers that up.

Got a new Macbook Pro, now you only have usb-c ports. How do you connect your iPhone, iPad, Magic Mouse (to charge). You can buy an adapter to convert usb-c to standard usb, but now you have to carry something extra. Just get this cable and all of those devices work great and have a high speed connection - one cable to rule them all.

That is really going to depend on what you are using for wifi. Different wifi systems have different ways to extend. Use a current device, like your cell phone and see if you have wifi signal at the location you want to install your floodlight. If you do not, then ask the question on how to extend on your current wifi product.
