Great price vs performance for a gaming computer

I replaced a 2012 Alienware with this laptop and have no regrets. Plays all the latest games at highest quality settings without a hitch. I love the keyboard layout and the speaker placement.
Some downsides:
Disk is slow. I would recommend getting a cheap SSD and transferring the OS to it. Booting can be very slow otherwise.

Screen is only 60mhz. I find this just fine for my needs, and there is an HDMI output where you can hook up an external monitor for higher refresh rates.
The left side of the laptop gets hot when you play games. Fortunately I had a cooling pad I used with my Alienware. I'd recommend something similar.
The laptop otherwise runs great. I've had no real issues and I've been happily playing AAA games with no problems. For the price I paid, this is a great deal.

Once in a while, yes. Not loud or annoying, but noticeable during gaming. It also runs hot on the left side of the laptop when running games. I'd recommend a cooling pad if you're going to buy this laptop.
