Good Vacuum with a few small flaws
on March 29, 2021
Posted by: charliehustle77
from Virginia
I've used this vacuum for the past week or so. We have 2 small children who love to drop everything on the floor. Once they went to bed I spent every evening vacuuming the entire downstairs of my house. I found that the vacuum does work well and sucks up a lot of dust debris and crumbs. It's very maneuverable going around kitchen chairs and swivels nicely. It fits underneath small areas pretty well and comes with several attachments. It does well picking up everything on our low pile carpet as well as our hardwood floors. The dust container is rather small and typically needs to be emptied twice while I'm vacuuming. It's easy to empty it, however you will have to disengage some hair and dust that gets trapped around the mesh filter. The battery seems to do just ok. By the time I'm done vacuuming, its down to one bar and that's with rarely using the boost button. I don't know if this would make it through a whole house cleaning but I haven't tried honestly. The vacuum comes with a nice black stand that holds the device in several ways. You can separate it or leave it together. The stand only holds one of the attachment pieces which is strange.
Pros:
Does a good job sucking up things.
Sleek stylish design.
No issues with hair or anything getting stuck on the brush.
Lightweight and easily maneuverable.
Can be broken down to an extremely small size.
Comes with several attachments and small footprint stand.
Works well on hard floors and carpets.
Cons:
Battery life is questionable.
Dust compartment small and needs to be emptied more.

Compact and powerful

This is my first water flosser and I'm still learning but I've been very impressed with this little thing.
The compact size makes it ideal for those with small bathrooms or not alot of space on their counters due to other things. It also is able to be used wirelessly once it's charged. The handle is magnetic and the hose is made to snap back into place when you connect the magnetic handle to the base. So there are no hoses and cords hanging around. There are 10 settings for pressure. The waterpik comes with quite a few attachments, I think the only one I wanted that wasn't included is the tongue cleaner. Also the ion doesn't come with any type of case, which would be nice for travel. Still with its compact size it shouldn't take up much space in a suitcase. Very cool.
As I said this is my first waterpik flosser so I wasn't sure how how well it would work. I have a crown in the back of my mouth that food gets caught in and I floss daily. The first few times I used the waterpik I went back in with my floss to see if there was anything left behind. Nothing, nada. Clean as a whistle. I'm very impressed. My only issue is learning to keep my mouth closed while using it so that water doesn't spray everywhere. Other than that I love this device and for the price seems like a great buy!

Unexpectedly Awesome

These earbuds are extremely impressive. Upon opening them up I noticed the case had a nice flip-flop rubbery coating on them that changes from dark blue to black when you move it. Really nice!
You really can appreciate how nice it is to slide open the case instead of just popping it open. It adds a nice touch and springs into place when you open an close it. The size fits nicely into your front pocket. Once you initially connect the earbuds to your bluetooth the Liberty Air 2 pro connects almost immediately when you pop open the case. no waiting around like other earbuds.
I put the first earbud in my ear and noticed it fit a little too snugly, checked the case and realized that it had 9 eartips from xxxs to xl. Holy cow. It took quite a while to find the perfect fit but I think I found the perfect size for me. If you forget what size you have in, fold up the eartip and there is a size imprinted on the tip.
Anker offers something called HearID that personalizes how you hear music. Its basically like a hearing test in which you listen for a bunch of beeps in each ear to make sure you're hearing at the optimal level. Super cool and I think it did improve my listening.
Getting to the sound. Here's why I dropped off one star. The low end bass on a few hip hop songs was noticeably muddy and distorted. I was able to adjust this in the EQ settings to make it sound better. The only other issue is the ANC and the ambient sound settings. The ANC is good, but not great. You can still hear things when wearing the earbuds. Don't get me wrong, they do a good job but not up to par with other brands. The ambient sound settings are also not as good as other brands. For me, there was no real way to talk to people in person while wearing the earbuds. There was too much background noise for me. Neither of these issues would dissuade me from purchasing the Liberty air 2 pro however because the goods outweigh the bad by a mile. Other than those issues, these earbuds are legit.
The fit and weight of the earbuds are perfect. I wore them an entire day of work activity while taking on and off a mask and never felt like they would fall out of my ear or that they didn't feel right. They felt great, sounded great and stay in my ears all day now. I never even get a low battery warning because I just place these on a wireless charging pad when i'm done using them. No need to search for a plug.
Pros:
Look and feel great
Hear ID personalized EQ
9! eartips
Wireless charging or USB C
IPX4 Sweat and water resistant
Bluetooth 5.0 with extremely fast connectivity
Easy setup
Long battery life up to 26 hours
ANC
Cons:
ANC not as good as other brands but still works well
Low end bass gets distorted
These far exceeded any expectations I had when opening the box. The moment I saw and felt the case I was impressed. Go buy them.

Warm good tasting coffee hours later
on January 21, 2021

This stainless steel coffee maker looks great and functions remarkably. Pulling it out of the box you can tell that it's well made and sturdy. The 10 cup carafe is insulated and feels heavy duty. The entire coffee maker boasts nice stainless steel and some plastic. It doesn't fee like a stainless steel sticker, it feels like the real deal.
Once I got it cleaned out I brewed a few pots of just water through to make sure all the chemical taste and smell was gone. Then I set it up to brew for me in the morning. The clock/auto start feature is basic but serves its purpose. Set the timer and let 'er rip. I woke up the next morning to piping hot delicious coffee and when I came back a few hours later for another cup, it was still hot enough to just add creamer. Amazing.
I'm mostly a k-cup guy and if I leave my brewed k cup sitting for more than 5 minutes without putting a top on my insulated cup, it's already lukewarm. I was shocked how good the coffee tasted and how warm it still was from the GE Classic Drip. My wife wakes up sometimes an hour or two after me and its nice to have fresh brewed hot coffee for both of us with no additional steps.
Highly recommend.

Excellent

Recently had my office upgraded with dual screens and noticed a bit more fatigue when going in between programs and screens. While there is some learning curve from going from traditional mouse to the Ergo M575, once you get the hang of it it's a welcome improvement over the normal mouse.
Setting up took about 3 minutes. Fired up the bluetooth on my computer and pulled the white tab on the bottom of the mouse which put it into paring mode. Boom. Connected. You can also use the included usb adapter. It uses 1 AA battery, which is included and batter life is around 24 months give or take your amount of usage.
I had to speed up the cursor speed on my computer because using the trackball seemed to take longer. I'm sure this will be personal preference for everyone. The M575 has just the right amount of weight. Not too heavy but does not feel cheap. Everything is easily reachable and requires little to no movement from your wrist. I'm still having trouble moving the cursor around using my thumb and not moving my arm, but i'm getting there.
I think at the price and the quality of this mouse its worth it. If your experiencing more wrist and finger fatigue from using your mouse more and more, or you just need additional space then this might be the mouse for you.

Excellent combo.

I received this to review because the insane amount of wires attached to my work setup was driving me up the wall. This setup was a night and day improvement. The keyboard is made of what looks to be aluminum and both the keyboard and mouse have some weight to them making them feel well made. The connection went relatively flawlessly to my Dell laptop. I did have a problem updating the firmware, it took about 5 tries till the mouse firmware finally updated.
End result is a heavy duty keyboard and mouse that has upwards of 36 months of battery life. It looks and feels spectacular and the price can't be beat in my book.

Pricey but is it worth it?
on December 17, 2020

I'll start off by saying I had my iPhone 12 pro max for about a week before I installed this screen protector. If you have a new iPhone, do not believe the hype that the glass is better this year. A week after babying the phone in anticipation of this screen protector arriving I already noticed about 4 or 5 tiny microscopic scratches. Glad the Otterbox screen protector arrived when it did.
OtterBox sends a kit that is supposed to make it easy for you to install the screen protector by tightening down two pieces of plastic on the top and bottom of your phone and stretching the screen protector across from the bottom of the phone to the top. This is kind of silly.
One, it's hard to get the phone perfectly straight the way the installation kit is designed.
Two, once you get it straight you have to keep the phone tightly snug in the kit while stretching the screen protector over top of the phone. I had to pull it off multiple times to get it straight since there's no way to know if its on straight until you lay it down.
I'm sure there are videos out showing this process and it would probably be easier to go watch one and then compare this installation kit with a cheaper one. Another screen protector company sends a 1 piece kit that holds the screen protector and fits down on the phone and then you just pop them together equaling a perfectly aligned screen protector every time. Much simpler and efficient than the otterbox design.
As far as protection, I have no doubt that this will keep my screen fully protected at all times. I also use an otterbox clear case. The antimicrobial and blue light guard are just a plus to me. However, although the title indicates this is "clear" once you step outside in the sunlight you will see a blue tint that does skew all colors on the phone, also if you wear polarized sunglasses you will also notice major color variations similar to some tinted windows when viewed through polarized lenses.
All in all I don't know if the price is worth the hassle of the installation or the blue tint of the screen protector. I can't say the antimicrobial properties work, but in this day and age why not, right?
Personally for me, there are more affordable options out there that work just as well and are easier to install.

Innovative but not perfect.
on December 7, 2020

I will start by saying, this is the first cord free pump I have used, so I am comparing it to the Spectra S1 which is your typical plug into the wall pump.
While the idea of pumping on the go is enticing, I found that I still wasn’t able to be as free as most would think. Tasks like walking, bending over, or bouncing a crying baby would result in the pump turning off bc the milk splashes on the infrared sensor which indicates the bottle is full. Honestly, if I have to sit in one place while pumping, I might as well be hooked up to a more efficient pump to get the job done.
While the Elvie is very sleek in appearance, it did not feel as efficient as the Spectra S1. I have an excellent milk supply and I had to empty both bottles midway thru my pumping sessions which is not ideal and adds more time to the session in addition to more handling of breast milk. I understand that because this pump fits the whole thing inside of your bra, the size of the containers would have to be smaller. This might work out well for someone who doesn't produce as much milk.
The app is the best part of this pump. You can control basically everything from the app, eliminating the need to reach down inside your bra to change the suction or power the pump on or off. So many controls from automatic let down, automatic timer, pumping intensity and pump history. Very cool. I just wish it was a little more accurate as to how much has been pumped. Several times its given me the incorrect amount and once I remove the pump, there was less milk than indicated on the app.
Pros-
Very quiet
Sleek design.
Wireless.
Intuitive App with lots of features.
Cons-
Very Expensive.
You're not truly free to move around while pumping. Alot of movement will cause the pump to leak or the sensor to indicate that it is full.
Bra limitations (you need to wear a stretchier bra in order to fit the elvie inside)
More parts to wash that are smaller harder to wash than a regular plug in pump.
App not exactly 100% accurate as far as amount pumped.
New technology and takes some getting used to.

Easy setup, works great!

This was my first smart outlet and I had a wemo account and the smart plug setup in under 5 min. It connected easily to the Apple home and Google home. I don’t use Alexa so I can’t speak to that but I’m sure it’s similar.
These will be a perfect option for outdoor lights for Christmas. I’m also going to purchase another one for our Christmas tree. I get annoyed having to reach behind the tree everyday for a month to turn it off or on. Call me lazy, whatever.
I will say I’m kind of surprised the plug even though it has 2 outlets, only operates as one device. Also, I had to find a plug with nothing in the bottom outlet since this is designed to come straight down so if you want to plug it into the top outlet it will block the bottom outlet.
There’s also a spot on the outlet where you can screw it into place if you wanted to.
This will make your life easier if you run Christmas lights or outdoor devices. I think this is a good purchase.

Cool toothbrush. Issues with app connectivity.
on November 5, 2020
Posted by: charliehustle77

I thought this would be really cool for my 3 year old to be consistent with brushing his teeth. He enjoys the fact that it vibrates just like mom and dads and the yellow color is a plus. When I first synced it with the app I thought it was very cool. The first time we brushed it showed how long he had brushed (duration), the intensity of brushing, strokes per min and coverage (top and bottom). Very cool. I like the silicon brush part but I'm not sure how that cleans better than a traditional brush. Seems like it would miss some tight spots in teeth.
The major problem is, and the reason it get's 2 stars, I haven't been able to connect the brush to the app since then. I've tried a few days when I've had time, but to be honest as a working parent of multiple kids I don't have time to troubleshoot a toothbrush app. It's early in the morning, I'm trying to get to work or it's late at night and he needs to get to bed. Either way, the app is flawed.
Having said that, it seems that if you can get the app to work with the toothbrush there are incentives to make your kid brush with more consistency. Gift cards, refill credits and other rewards are offered for regular brushing. It might be a good idea to offer something "kid friendly" as a reward so your kid can actually work for something.
Pretty cool, as I said if you can get it working.
All in all I guess the idea is a good one, but without the app working with the toothbrush it's just an expensive toothbrush.

hi, the M575 has only been available on Logitech's site in graphite and off-white colors. Guess best buy is having it now... is this "black" color really black? or is it the same graphite-gray that logitech sells on their site?

The part number on the black M575 from Best Buy does not match the part number for the graphite version from Logitech. I would guess they are not the same.

How comfortable are they? Do they feel like they're going to fall out with rigorous exercise (running) or do they have a secure fit a majority of the time?

These fell out of my ears while I was doing nothing. They don't feel secure. The sound on these are great but working out and exercising with these on will probably not be a good idea.
