I read many reviews and many were negative, but this dehumidifier seemed the best pick. I have not been unhappy with it. It is in a large open basement and has performed quietly and efficiently.
Because of the bad reviews on durability, I took out a four year protection plan.

I've used this product in the past and it has been easy to apply. This time around I totally messed up the application when the film wouldn't come off the outside plastic. I had to buy another one and that one got little bubbles that wouldn't go away.
There are also too many types to choose and I don't think there's that much difference except price.

Great improvement over 60D

I wasn't happy with the focus on the 60D, everything seemed to come out fuzzy. Photos with the 70D are crisp and sharp and the camera is more user friendly. The included "how-to" CD has eliminated the need to buy a separate book. The flip LCD screen is a convenient feature.

There are a variety of recipes in the user's manual and i chose cinnamon/raisins. I was not disappointed in the first loaf although i would probably use 1/4 c more of water to make it a little less dense. It was tasteful and the raisins mixed nicely throughout.

Too strong for plush carpet? Also weight of this Dyson.
I am about to install plush carpeting and I also need a new upright vacuum cleaner. I am aware that some upright vacuum cleaners are too powerful for plush carpeting. Is this Dyson in that category? Also, how much does it weigh?
I have plush carpet and have no problem pushing the vacuum on it. The brush does not slow down or get stuck. I don't know the weight, but it is heavy when I have to pick it up.
