Have u thought about adding studs or plywood behind the wall? I'm confused with what u mean by inset? I've hung about 7 tv's on my, friends, and families walls. I watched the geek squad hang my first one and been doing it ever since. The inset thing is throwing me. If u have a stud finder look for studs and hang the mount their, it may not be centered where u want it but the mount will move so that it can be centered. As far as an inset that is 9 x 15, if u must have this for some sort of reason, can u explain more to me so that I can undestand a bit better. Been a contractor for over 25 years so usually can figure something out to work right for u, but if u simply need some sort of mount that will only fit in a 9x15 space to hold such a large tv, there's something I've got to be missing here but worst case senecio, Google custom wall mounts for flat screen tv's and see if that helps at all. Also if you could supply me a more detailed version of your problem, I may understand better and be more equipped to help you; however, the geek squad is awesome, and are very good at helping fix odd or unusual problems. Good luck!
