I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to set up this system with barely consulting the instructions. Normally, the place where you are in the movie shows up when you hit pause but this one doesn't. I couldn't figure it out so googled it. I had a duh moment when I was told to hit DISPLAY on the remote! Being able to access Youtube and Amazon is a real plus as we couldn't do that with our previous players so that makes us happy! Having a dedicated button for SUBTITLES is handy though setting them takes some figuring out as the process is not intuitive. I guess the only thing that is not so good so far is that the green ON light is so tiny that you have to strain to see it and it really is only on when the unit is operating, other than that it is a great little machine.

Simple to use after you get used to it

It took quite a bit of trial and error before I managed to get the hang of it but now it works easily. As usual, there is not enough info in the manual, but at least you do get one! The main drawback is that it washes out people's faces in very bright light, as on a stage where I shoot most of my stuff for my church. I need to leave the setting on auto because I often swing around to the congregation as there is interaction. Doing it on manual becomes too dark then.
On the other hand, it does pretty well in other situations when the low light feature is utilized. Also handy, is that you can take photo's quite easily.
Battery life is not bad and I've been able to get 90 minutes ok, but need to be careful on not zooming too much when I know I'll be shooting that long. Zoom is great and focuses pretty quickly.
