Overall happy, but box is deceiving

Bought this model cause it looked the most like my factory radio, but had the features I wanted(so I thought). The box specifically says iPhone/iPod ready, but what they don't mention is it only talks directly to an android(which the box doesn't say) you have to have a special cable to run an iPhone with it. I specifically asked if I had everything I needed to have this installed, including mentioning iPhone usage,& the cable was never mentioned, best buy even installed the radio. They even sell the cable!! Well after realizing my phone would only connect for phone calls,I read the manual & found out about the cable, so now to hook up this cable, the whole freakin radio has to come back out cause it hooks up in the back! Otherwise, picture is good, easy to use, looks nice in dash, but if you want to use an iPhone to stream pandora or gps, or anything-BUY THE CABLE!

Bought cause it was the only one they had on the shelf at the store. Regretting that decision. The picture is grainy,and at night, hope you don't really need it to back up. If I hadn't paid the install fee,I'd take it off & get another one, but then id have to pay more install fees!

After buying a truck with a chip display that doesn't come down from the dash,& installing a new radio,etc, I wanted to up the protection on it. So I got this, I like the key fob that alerts you if any sensor goes off,& where on the truck it happened, which I learned after a very large cat jumped on the roof & set it off,lol. The only issue I've had is about 4 days after it was installed(which was done by the store) I went into a store, came back out,& my doors wouldn't unlock, it said they were unlocked & it beeped & all that, but nothing happened. I locked & unlocked it a few times to see if it would catch, but still nothing. I ended up having to use my door key to get in(which set the alarm off, so embarrassing! Lol) cause the alarm system doesn't recognize the door key or factory alarm. Thankfully after putting key in ignition, alarm shut off. It never happened again,& the guy at the installation department said occasionally there can be interference that can cause it to not work quite right. I do wish I'd have gone with the next step up that had the auto start option, but too late now :)

I bought these after I had my new in dash radio installed & my in roof DVD player in the back wouldn't talk to the new radio. My 5 year old was not happy that he couldn't hear his movies lol. The sound is good, they adjust even to his small head, they keep the sound contained to him so I don't have to hear ninja turtles on repeat,& they shut themselves off after so long of no connection to player to save batteries.
