Although it says generally compatible with Nikon cameras - it doesn't work on the D7100. There are a variety of trigger port configurations (between different manufacturers and different camera within the same manufacturer). Some adapters are included but not all. Had to return.

The one design flaw is that the velcro strap at the opening is not long enough to do anything. So you basically have to use friction to keep this on your flash. It might only work well on larger flash units that can swivel and be aimed.

Although the price is a bit on the high side for this material and design - it does offer the ability to take action videos that are relatively smooth. It doesn't offer the smoothness or leveling action of higher priced gimbal mounts. But that is the tradeoff for this price range. One improvement would be having the handle swivel to keep the camera level. Additionally, it can only hand held - so the lowest the camera can be positioned is 2-3 feet off the ground (depending on your own height). It is impossible to get lower without crouching and that would be awkward to provide any movement/action.
