I've went through alot of monitors in my IT career - and I always need an extra on hand when building or testing computers. This is where this 24" HP Series 5 monitor comes in. I usually go for larger sizes (30"+) when looking for desktop monitors that I work on daily - but this 24" is perfect for my occasional computer build or test - and also good for hooking up to a laptop to have more screen area to work with!
If you're working from home and don't have an extra monitor to make it easier to work from your laptop - I HIGHLY recommend getting one. Multiple monitors makes a HUGE difference when it comes to productivity and working within multiple programs.
This HP has both HDMI and a VGA connection port - so you'll find it will connect to nearly any computer or laptop available. It supports 1920x1080 resolution, has really nice and crisp graphics and colors, has on-screen controls for easy configuration if needed, is anti-glare and leverages HP Eye Ease. What is that you ask? According to HP "Keeps your eyes comfortable through the work day with HP Eye Ease, our first built-in, always-on blue light filter that presents your vivid content with zero impact on your color accuracy, no OSD required."
Overall - very happy with the monitor. The Hight and tilt adjustable stand is awesome - although perhaps sticks out (toward me) more that I would expect (see side profile picture). That's my main reason for the 4 stars vs 5.

Compact size and solid performer

I’ve recently picked up the HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e Wireless All-in-One Printer with 1 Full Year Instant Ink with HP+ and actually activated the Instant Ink Program! I’m switching out my workhouse HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 – debuting in about 2014 – and is showing some signs of failure.
The biggest features used in my household are Printing of course, then Scanning, then Copying. We don’t do any faxing from home anymore – so this is a dying feature in my opinion. If you don’t already have a multi-function device like this – it’s a MUST for school-age kids and a home office.
My impression thus far is great. It installed without issue – and HP must have worked on their Scan to Computer function as this time it worked straight out of the box! This baby boasts fast (for home printers) color and b/w prints up to 20 pages a minute. It’s recommended monthly page volume is about 800 pages – so if you print about that or more you should be looking for a larger printer. I noted that the paper tray hold less that my previous printer (only 225 sheet) and the auto document feeder can accommodate about 35 sheets.
The printer uses 4 cartridges of the HP 923 series – but as I stated since the [rinter comes with a full year of Instant Ink, I opted for that and will determine if I stick with it in February 2025.
Scanning works well – and I’ve testing the document feeder, glass top scanner and initiating from both the printer and from the computer. Download and install the HP Smart software to get it setup – and you’re off and running in no time.
The 8139e can handle borderless printing, up to 10 envelopes at a time and legal paper with no issues. Scanning resolution up to 1200x1200 dpi. Copy resolution up to 600 dpi.
Overall, this is a solid printer and think this will be a suitable replacement for my aging 8610.

Perfect fit - very solid!

Wow - this is an awesome case! I had purchase a temporary case until this one arrived - and this new CASETiFY case for my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is fantastic (OK - let's be clear - this is my wife's phone).
It's got a nice grippy feel - so won't fall out of your hands easily, raised edged on the front and the back around the camera lenses so when you place it down it protects the glass and lenses. The grippy feeling is also on the front and back bezels/edges - so it shouldn't slide of the dash or table too easily. Not to mention the 8.2 foot drop protection (sorry I did not test this) - but it's what it says on the package!
Overall, I really like this case for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Definitely feels that it has been made with quality and will be the default case for my wife! Also knowing that this case was made from other recycled phone cases makes it even better! They make the other phone cases into pellets that in turn they melt down to create these cases - very smart and nice job CASETiFY!

Super-sized battery and nice video!

I've been an Alro fan for years. I have many cameras - ranging from Arlo 1, ArloQ, Pro3, Pro4, Pro5, Arlo Floodlight and now Arlo Essential XL Gen 2! With the addition of these 3 XL Gen 2 cameras, I'm retiring my legacy Arlo 1 with the CR123 batteries - YEAH!
I'm currently happy with these Essential XL Gen2 cameras - and have had them mounted and running for about a week now. Batteries still show at 100%, image and video quality is good and although a bit large, I'm excited to see how well the battery lasts through our cold MN winters (they claim 4x life).
The only drawback I see is that they ship with a "screw-on" mount versus my other Alro's that came with a magnetic mount. Perhaps the larger battery makes it too heavy or bulking for a magnetic mount - but I really did like the flexibility and ease of using a magnetic mount with my previous Arlo versions.
My cameras are the 2k resolution (better than the HD version) and sport a 130 degree field of vision. The integrated spotlight is awesome and makes it possible for color night vision. Of course 2 way audio is included - but I really don't use that feature. It's important to note these cameras DO NOT require a hub or base station - they simply connect to your WiFi.
Overall - very satisfied and may switch more of my older cameras to these!

Good concept but poorly equipped.

I'll keep this review short and to the point. I was skeptical about a new sub $200 laptop - and I was rightfully so. Upon receiving the product, I unboxed it and started setup. I knew almost immediately that this laptop was severely under powered and that the Windows setup would take a long time. Suffice it to say it did take a long time - and the performance after the initial log in was just as unimpressive. I had trouble opening ANY default Windows program, settings and Windows Update.
I contacted Lenovo support to ensure this wasn't a defective device - and even their support team told me this laptop is meant for a single task at a time. It won't be able to handle multi-tasking.
SPECS: Celeron N4020 process and 4 GB RAM, Windows 11 Home in S-Mode. That's really all that's important - as it is my opinion that the Celeron processor should be discontinued. However, the screen, keyboard, camera and the laptop itself feels solid and well made - it's just the processor and RAM that are really under powered.
Overall - save up a little more money and buy at least an Intel i5 or an AMD Ryzen 5 processor or better with 8 GB RAM min.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quality All-In-One Printer with advanced features!

I've long been a fan of Brother printers. Once you start having a few offices, it's best to pick a brand and stick with it - as we've done with Brother printers. The new Brother MFC-L3780 is hot off the press and is loaded with new features for your office or business.
For starters, since security is on everyone's mind these days, I really like the addition of the integrated Near Field Communication (NFC) reader. If your business uses badges for your employees for normal building security and room access, those same badges can be used to secure the printer. It can also integrate with Active Directory if your business uses that and has several reports and logs to monitor usage.
Setup was incredibly easy - as I'm using WiFi connectivity. Printing documents and photos produces high quality results that I'm impressed with - and am replacing an ink-jet printer with this one so I'm excited for the higher quality images!
Copying is a breeze with the 50 sheet auto-feeder. Duplex copying and scanning is a super time saver and also produces better results! If you've never had a duplex printer (prints, scans, copies from both sides) it is a game changer.
Lastly, aside from all the great print, copy and scan features - there is a plethora of connectivity options. Starting with the Brother Mobile Connect app, you can setup, print, scan, copy and manage your printer from anywhere. Super convenient for quick printing from your mobile device. You can also receive notifications from the printer about supplies and service!
Popular apps like Box, Dropbox, OneNote, Sharepoint Online, Google apps etc are all part of the connectivity plan and there to make your life easier.
Overall - if you're looking for a new color laser printer and like the above features - this ones for you!

Easy install, clear images!

I'm a long time owner of Arlo products. I have over 15 cameras and spotlights around my home and cabin. I do pay for an Arlo Secure plan as I feel that provides the best value for what I need. The Pro 5S comes with an Arlo Secure trial to store the 2k cloud recordings.
OK - so for the camera itself. Arlo came out with some nice features versus their previous generations. Features like: Dual Band Wi-Fi - so it can connect to both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz network for broader compatibility is to me the best new feature. Low Power Mode give up to 30% more battery life and Alro Secure Link gives you a more secure connection all around. The camera boasts 2K resolution/output and a 160 degree viewing area - providing a clear large field of vision.
Many people ask if you need a SmartHub or Base Station - NOPE. You don't need those as this camera can connect directly to your Wi-Fi Router! That's a nice bonus. You do get some minor benefits using a SmartHub (optimized Wi-Fi traffic, slightly better battery life,etc) but it's not required.
Color night vision happens with the built in spotlight - see attached pictures. A built in siren can be configured to startle and scare visitors or animals.
The only minor issue I had as that it forced me to upgrade my phone app when adding this camera to my existing SmartHub system. That caused me a little confusion, as the new app does things a bit different - but nothing that you can't work through.
Overall, this is a solid camera with large crisp images to capture the scenes that matter to you most!

Superb Wireless Speaker!

I took a little longer to write this review as I was having so much fun listening to amazing sounds of this new speaker! JBL really did it right, and I don't much to complain about aside from knowing ahead of time this didn't have a battery. My personal belief is that any smart home or portable speaker should have a built-in rechargeable battery so it can be used without power. JBL made this retro-looking speaker to be a stationary focal point in your room - as there are no handles for easy carrying and it is quite heavy. If you know and acknowledge this up front - you'll love this speaker.
Sound is fantastic! Deep bass, crisp treble and warm mids make this pure pleasure for your ears. I have 5+ large, portable speakers - and this may be the best sounding one yet!
There are lots of options for playing music - like using Bluetooth or WiFi direct, integration with Google and Amazon smart devices and not to mention the JBL One app for custom sound settings, voice controls/assistants and enable more streaming features. It boasts a virtual Dolby Atmos - which adds an interesting dimension to the audio that gives you the feeling of being immersed in sound.
Outfitted with an Ethernet port, USB-C connection and 3.5mm axillary port give you connectivity options.
I truly love this speaker. Although it is a bit large (you likely can't place this under your TV), you can be sure it will become a topic of conversation as people hear the awesome sound quality at your next gathering!

Bulky yet comfortable!

I'm always looking for the next thing to try for listening to music - and I love being outside so I thought these Smart Sunglasses would be a nice addition to my tech arsenal - and I was right! as the title says - they are a bit big and bulky, but I realize they Lucyd had to pack them full of batteries, chips and speakers - so I feel that is understandable.
Sound quality is good for something so small. As you'd expect it's not a rich full sounding bass explosion, but definitely good enough to listen to while walking or spending time outdoors. I won't use these when mowing the yard as I want more in-ear style headphones that also serve somewhat as ear plugs. You can control volume, songs and more through "taps" on the left or right side of the glasses - so you'll have to memorize what they mean - or use the volume on your phone.
The sunglasses part of this smart eyewear piece is great. Quality lenses with a gradient shading feature that I like more than I expected. Images are crisp and clean without distortion or waviness. You can change out the lenses with prescription lenses if needed.
I can definitely see how smart eyewear will continue to enhance people daily lives - just grab the glasses and go! No more searching for the earbuds or wearing over the head headsets, it's all included in these smart shades! I plan to continue to use these for my solo outdoor activities going forward!

Super fast and easy install

I had been having some issues with a newer computer utilizing Optane M2 memory, and decided it was time for a switch. Enter in the Samsung 990 Pro M.2 drive. I replaced the Optane memory module and 7200RPM hard drive with this NVMe unit - and it's like I have a brand new machine again - only better.
I cannot say enough about upgrading your PCs disk - it is likely the single biggest impact you can make to your system as long as you already have enough RAM to function. I'm running Windows 10 Pro and the Samsung 990 Pro drive the system with ease!
Let's talk about speed for a second. My old spinning drive clocked in with a score of about 2400 using the Passmark Performance Test utility. I use this tool to compare all my systems and components so I have a baseline to compare by. The new Samsung 990 Pro - clocked in at a WHOPPING 29800 - more than 10x as fast as my old drive. The feel on the performance is truly night and day. I've attached some pictures of the performance test and a detailed test on the disk.
Overall, I'm supper happy that this drive made my PC new again! This is a great investment in the performance and longevity of your machine - you won't be sorry! Just make sure to backup your data and apps so you can reinstall them on the new disk!

So I purchase an Arlo 4 to live stream on my wi fi as a SIXTH camera to my already FULL 5 camera account. I get a free smart subscription and everything works. When the subscription expires and I do not wish to renew, my Arlo 4 is useless, correct?
Well - yes. You either pay for the Arlo subscription upgrade, or perhaps you remove one of your older Arlo's and leverage the great camera quality and features of the Arlo Pro4. Unfortunately, that's the way technology goes - replace old stuff with new stuff.

Does the new surface book 3 come with the surface pen or would i need to purchase one separately?
Unfortunately, you would need to purchase it separately. Myself, I plan to get one - specifically to markup drawings and documents during web conferences.

What is "Realistic Battery Life" of the Microsoft Surface Book 3 - 15 inch if it is used mainly to run software like Excel, Word, Microsoft Edge browser, and some YouTube video ? I've seen video reviews which have mentioned as little as 6 hours.
I've already used mine for 12 hours without charging. The Microsoft website claims 16 hours..

What are the differences between Surface Book 2 and Surface Book 3?
Aside from the price (SB3 is obviously more), the SB3 is upgraded with a newer/better CPU, a better GPU, WiFi-6, better battery life, more memory options, etc.

Where is the camera located?
The SB3 has 2 cameras - one on the back in the upper right corner, and in the upper center on the front (screen side). The both work great - used them for Skype, Webex and Zoom calls just today!

Im looking to purchase this for dual purposes. Audio production With Pro Tools, and Digital art with Adobe products. Will the SB 3 Be able to handle both?
