Yes, this really does go up to "11", although I've never intentionally set it above 5ish. Even in our large open multipurpose living room/theatre (about 13 x 17), 5ish is more than enough to fill the room.
This is also perfectly matched to Klipsch's speakers, filling in the sound perfectly.

We are building out our (non-dedicated) home theatre in stages. These are currently functioning as "Fronts", and they do good job, although the space they are in is relatively large. They function distortion free at a very high power level from our Yamaha receiver. The quality of sound they offer is excellent.

Is it supposed to hum? When I shut down my receiver I can hear it until it shuts down automatically. I can adjust the volume and low pass to get the humming to go down but then it doesn't sound as good when I watch a movie. Thanks!
Mine does not, with our Yamaha Receiver, but we don't set ours particularly loud. Have you checked your receiver settings?

I have a entry level Yamaha Receiver that rated at 100 watts per channel. Will I have a problem running these. I have been hearing these speakers for years and have always loved their sound. Am looking to buy a pair very soon.
Get them if you love the sound. You shouldn't have any issue running them.

I have an older Yamaha RX-330 receiver. Would these speakers be plug and play? Or would I have to modify the cables?
Yes, they will. Make sure the cable gauge fits the application and your equipment.

Can 2 Macs be backed up in one external drive?
Using TimeMachine they can be, under one of two methods- Manually swapping between computer, or attaching the drive directly to Apple' Airport Extreme and sharing the drive. Apple also sells the "Time Capsule", which does WiFi back up and routing, but is very spendy.

Yes. They provide a free copy of NTFS drivers, but I would recommend just reformatting using Disk Utility.
