A great surprise

My wife is one who loves to cook, and has never liked electric ranges because of that. With our new condo not having gas available, we had to go with electric with our replacement of an older GE unit with the LG. Has she been surprised! The heating elements are quick to heat and adjust, while the elements distribute the heat effectively. The oven is just as fast, heating much more quickly than our LP unit. She has been incredibly pleased with this particular oven and has no apprehensions about cooking or baking with it, which has been a nice surprise!

Quietest dishwasher we've ever owned

We replaced an older GE unit with the LG dishwasher, and it is an outstanding unit. It is so quiet, you don't even know its running if it is not draining water. The racks hold so much stuff, and, with the flexibility of them, you can clean all different sizes and shapes of items easily. And, of course, it has cleaned everything spot free the first three times we've used it.

CORRECT TEMPERATURE.......HOW LONG MUST I WAIT????
After initial installation, how long should it be before the freezer temperature reaches 0 degrees and the refrigerator temperature reaches 37 degrees? Called Best Buy and they said we need to allow at least 12 hours!!!!!!!!!!!????????? REALLY? What is a person supposed to do with the food that was in their old refrigerator/freezer (which we no longer have, had the installers remove it for us) during this 12 hours? My house is cooler than the new refrigerator after 6 hours of being plugged in, the freezer is at 78 and the fridge is at 84. Food would spoil if I put it in this new fridge. If it is normal that it will take 12 hours or so to get to the appropriate temperatures then this information NEEDS to be told to the person buying the product so they can prepare to have ice chests for their food or maybe neighbors that would help with storing the food in their refrigerators. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!
It does take about that amount of time to bring both parts to the set temperature. We just replaced an old GE model with a new LG, and we knew what to expect from previous replacements. We used insulated food bags with blue ice packs we had stored in the freezer to keep everything as cold as possible during the transition, which worked well.
