The 80D is an outstanding camera. It is good at the mid-level of the offerings. Plenty to learn, plenty to use, plenty of quality and capabilities. The layout of buttons for changing various settings is intuitive and helpful. You can use the LCD, look through the view finder, or change from on top. The focal points are high quality and help you get the right spot.
Support from Canon is outstanding and has proven helpful in the few cases where the documentation with the camera wasn't quite as clear as it could be.

What separates this particular camera from a t6s or 5d
Can't talk about the 5d but the other I presume is a Rebel camera.
The 80D is light years above the rebel. The 5D if I'm not mistaken is the next level up. The most notable differences for me were price, and capability. You should do a camera comparison, but I believe that the 80D has higher megapixels and does 7 fps continuously (depending on your storage card).

Will the 80D's 45 pt focus array work in the Sports Mode or is it just single pt?
My old T3i only had a single focus point when using the Sports mode; hopefully the 80D uses its full 45 point focus array in Sports mode... True or False... Thanx, Mark
It does, but with a caveat. When you look through the viewfinder, it lights up the focal points it is using. Some items will light black which are fine with their lighting and others with red to say low lighting. You can also choose multiple focal point modes based on what you are setting. Even better you can set only one focal point at a specific spot you see.
