I bought this router to use as both a gigabit switch and wifi access point. Having ATT Uverse at home, I'm limited to Wireless G and 100mbps LAN speeds. After the setup, I disabled ATT wifi and connect my devices to this. It definitely increased my wifi speeds and I can surf the net on ipad & MacBook much faster. Also, I plugged and external hard dive into the router, and can access those files anywhere in the house from my laptop. Not only does it work great, it looks great too!

Perfect NAS Drive for home or office, pc or mac

I'm giving this WD 3TB NAS Cloud Drive 5 stars because of its performance right now today. A few weeks ago after I bought it, I might have only given one star. The initial data transfer - from my pc to the NAS drive - took about 4 days. I do not have a gigabit router and my connection speed to transfer the data was limited. But I knew this before buying. I transferred about 500GB to the NAS drive. Then, after the transfer was complete - the drive was crawling and took forever to just view one photo or any other document. This is because the NAS drive scans all its data to categorize it (music, vids, photos, docs, etc.). That process took another day or so. But now, after the initial setup is all done, this drive is blazing fast. I can view it not only on my PC, but my Mac Book and my iphone/ipads from anywhere in the world. I love it.

What's not so great: Initial data transfer to the device is lengthy. 500GB took 4 days.
