OK Item, But Not Worth the Cost

What can I say here...as a mouse pad it works well, but it's way overprice for what you get. Topping it off, this thing has a cord that's way longer than it needs to be and Corsair doesn't appear to care if you submit any new profiles to their site. There are much better and cheaper options out there, even if you want one that lights up.

Decent headset, but USB only

The build quality on these is great, but it needs a fabric wire, not a rubber coated one and it's USB only, which is the main reason I had to return them. I have a setup where I can switch between speakers and headset, but they both use a regular headphone jack. I could care less about this product's 7.1 surround (it's horrid) or its ability to light up (can't see it anyway). The sound quality is better than most of the ones in the store that aren't $200+, but they're not great. I ended up just buying the version of these I needed from Amazon.

Decent Earphones! Very Versatile

These earphones have a good build quality...but I can't help thinking they'll break, at some point, where the overhead part bends....this may not be fair, but it's what made me go buy new earphones in the first place. The other brand I had were Plantronics, which I've bought for years, but they always seem to break at the overhead part. These Turtle Beach ones are sturdier, for sure...so we'll see.
The audio quality is OK, good enough for me to hold onto them, but not stellar for the audio-phile in me. Having said that the build quality is good, the comfort, while a little stiff, is OK for long sessions. I love the fact that I can fold them flat and that I can unplug any cord...which not only makes them versatile, but means I don't have to have the mic in, if I don't want it, and that I can take the earphones with me with the additional mobile device cord. I also love that if one of those gets messed up or broken, that I can simply go buy those pieces, rather than replacing the whole thing.

Chat in crystal clarity using these SteelSeries Siberia v3 61356 over-the-ear headphones, which feature a noise-reducing microphone that captures crisp sound and can be folded into the earcup when not in use. Sound isolation blocks outside noise.

For the price, these earphones just weren't up to par. The build quality was great, but the sound quality was worse than some $20 earphones. These were around $80!

Do you need an adapter to use the headset or can you use the headset without the adapter?
Not sure how to answer that. What do you mean by adapter? It comes with the USB cord, which helps if you want the surround sound and higher fidelity processing. Otherwise, you can alternatively use the 1/8" standard earphone cord to use it as standard earphones. I found that the extra processing was unnecessary and not that great, so I hope that helps.
