With 4 dogs, it's satisfying to see how much it picks up on every run. I do have to empty it everyday. That said, every third or fourth day it gets hung up on the edge of a carpet or chair leg, wedges under a low piece of furniture or gets lost on its way back to the charger. I wish that it's beeping signals were louder and that it would beep when it gets stuck so it would be easier to find.

It's a battery with an extra AC adapter

It's an Arlo Pro battery, AC charger and cable. Keep in mind, you cannot use the charger and cable to charge the battery. You still need to charge the battery in either one of your cameras or the charging adapter.
If you have an Arlo system and are not attempting to run any cameras on AC, you already have a charger and cable. In my case, I have an Arlo 4 camera system, bought a 5th camera, bought the required charging adapter and bought this extra battery. I now have 5 cables and 5 chargers. I can only use one cable and charger, to charge my one extra battery, so the other 4 are a waste.
They really should sell the battery by itself. As it is, it's expensive.
I can only recommend this as it's the only way to have an extra charged battery on-hand.

Easy enough to set up and use except for the fact that it only comes with one security mount. The other magnetic mounts aren't suitable for outside use for two reasons:
- They're easily knocked off the mount
- Depending on the mounting location they don't have enough adjustment range to cover the desired areas.
I had to buy additional security mounts so I could mount all 4 outdoors. Look only for cheaper options.

Netgear also made the bone-head decision that the batteries can only be charged while in the camera. This means taking the camera down, charging and then re-mounting and re-aiming each camera. The other, extra cost option is to buy a separate battery charger for the battery. That still means 2 trips to the camera (before and after charging). For more cost, buy one or two extra batteries that can be swapped out in one trip.
Beside that, the setup was fairly easy. Locating and aiming can be fussy. Once installed it works well although it can be slow to start recording sometimes.
