The Logitech Zone 300 has truly transformed the way I manage my day-to-day activities. If you’re in the market for a reliable and high-quality bluetooth headset, this is the one you’ve been waiting for.
Let’s start with the sound quality. The Zone 300 delivers crystal clear audio, ensuring that every call, podcast, or music track is a joy to experience. No more struggling to hear the person on the other end, even in noisy environments. The noise-canceling technology is remarkable, providing an immersive and distraction-free listening experience.
Comfort is key, and this headset excels in that department. The ergonomic design fits snugly in your ear and is so lightweight that you’ll forget you’re wearing it. I can wear it all day without any discomfort – perfect for those long work calls or multi-hour road trips.
One of my favorite features is the incredible battery life. I can go days without needing to recharge, even with heavy use. It’s a lifesaver, especially when you’re on the go and can’t afford to be tethered to a charging cable.
Pairing the Zone 300 with my devices was a breeze, and the Bluetooth connectivity is strong and reliable. The built-in microphone is of exceptional quality, ensuring that my voice comes through loud and clear during calls. Plus, the multi-point connectivity feature allows me to seamlessly switch between my phone and tablet, making multitasking a breeze.
What sets this Bluetooth headset apart is its versatility. It’s not just for phone calls – I use it to listen to audiobooks, make voice commands, and even participate in virtual meetings. The Zone 300 is a true all-in-one solution.
In summary, the Zone 300 is a must-have for anyone seeking hands-free freedom and audio excellence. Its sound quality, comfort, battery life, and compatibility make it a standout choice for busy professionals, multitaskers, and tech enthusiasts. Say goodbye to tangled wires and hello to a new level of convenience and clarity. I wholeheartedly recommend the Zone 300 – it’s your essential companion for a wireless world!

Strong cord! Love it.

Durable woven cable cover, both ends are shaped to resist breaking at what is usually the most vulnerable part of data/charging cables. I expect these to last the remaining life of all Lightning devices I still have, and I feel good about extending the useful life of older electronics -- but if I need to get more, you can't beat this price. The build quality is top-notch. The cable feels sturdy and durable, with reinforced connectors that inspire confidence in its longevity. I no longer worry about fraying or wear and tear, which is a common issue with other cables.
The uses for this cable are MYRIAD. Charging, of course, but also many networking possibilities.
Though I haven't used them for this purpose, they should be good for a direct wired connection between older Apple devices and newer ones with USB-C (Thunderbolt) port, meaning you can set up a new device & transfer data from your old one without using WiFi or Bluetooth. You can also tether a Lightning-port iOS device to a newer laptop (Windows, Chromebook, or Mac) with a USB-C port, to use the Apple device's Internet connection.
With this cable you can also use a newer (USB-C) device with cell service as a USB-connected hotspot to an older Apple device (even a WiFi-only iPad) rather than rely on spotty WiFi or Bluetooth connections. Since my MacBook Pro has only USB C ports, getting a set of dedicated USB-C to Lightning cables made sense. The cable seems sturdy enough to withstand the daily business of being bent almost daily while moving the MacBook back and forth from its dedicated storage location to my work area. The 4ft length is perfect for plugging in my iPhone to a power brick but still long enough to move about the desk as needed.
I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this purchase. At this price, you won't go wrong with this cable for your daily charging needs. I would definitely recommend it.

The Velox Mini is our most compact wireless air vent mount yet! Designed exclusively for MagSafe compatible iPhones and cases, the Velox Mini delivers up to 7.5W of power. Just tap your phone against the mount face and powerful magnets will hold it in place in perfect alignment. Easily install the Velox Mini by sliding the prongs onto your vehicle’s air vent blade, where silicone grips prevent it from slipping. A versatile ball joint allows you to adjust the cradle for an ideal and safe viewing position while you drive. A series of ventilation holes constructed around the mount help to dissipate heat and maintain airflow. Now it’s easier than ever to keep your phone powered up on the go.

Clean & modern design, easy to mount my phone!
on October 17, 2023
Posted by: MacUser
Installation is very easy. You just plug the included 12V USB-C adapter into your vehicle’s socket and then attach the MagSafe holder to the power source. You then push the holder onto an available air vent. The grip on the vent is pretty stable and the magnet holds onto the phone securely. Once you have attached the phone a few times, it gets pretty easy to put it into the right spot and the magnet pulls it out of your hand. The cord is a good length and the profile is low so looks good on the dash.
After a few days (and a couple hundred miles due to some longer trips recently), I can share my experience using this mount/charger for hours at a time and minutes at a time. The material for this mount is like a soft plastic/silicone feel. It feels solid and durable. I mean, what do you plan on doing with this thing? It should just be staying inside your car…doesn’t really need to be built like a tank if you ask me. In terms of comparability, it works great with my iPhone 13 Pro Max (even with a MagSafe case on the phone). The phone snaps on and off with ease and feels like it is attached well to the mount. This is confirmed by my hundreds of miles of driving with my phone on this mount. The phone stayed on and didn’t rotate or do anything crazy all throughout my journey. Adjustment is very convenient if you want to tilt/angle your phone a certain way.
Now, for the charging aspect of this device. I love the idea of wireless charging implemented into a car mount. I think it just makes sense (coming from someone who has had their phone charge by wire in the car for years). With this device, I find that charging works very well. At the max Qi output of 7.5W, charging speeds were adequate. I am guessing that the phone receiving cool air directly from the air vent behind the mount helps keep components cool and increase charging efficiency (if you’ve ever used a wireless charger you know a byproduct of the process is a decent amount of heat). To give you an idea of charging speed, my iPhone 13 Pro Max went from ~20%-80% in 1.5hrs with maps running the entire time, music playing in the background, and brightness ~70%.
I'm a satisfied customer and already recommend to several my friends.

Lights up in the dark for easy operation
on July 27, 2023

I hate having a bunch of remotes for various devices, so I definitely prefer an all-in-one. However, I hadn't found one yet that would operate my tv, my Apple TV, an IPTV box and my soundbar. Enter the TERK Universal remote, and WOW - why didn't I do this sooner?
Just got this little remote about a week ago, but I'm already loving it. Feels quality-made and great in the hand, and I like the bigger buttons. I got this universal remote to replace the LG standard remote that came with my TV because it offers backlit keys. The standard remote received with my LG UP7670 Series is not backlit and nearly impossible to use in a low lit bedroom. I believe this remote would also work with the LG UQ8000 series, as it is essentially the same TV, although it did get the upgraded (but also not backlit) LG 'Magic Remote'--I have not tried it with the UQ8000 series because I use an Apple TV box to consolidate all my streaming apps on the family room TV, and that remote is superior in simplicity to anything else, when you aren't entering something like a channel number. I was very pleasantly surprised that the very first LG code listed with the enclosed-with-the-remote 'code sheet' worked for the LG on first entry and controlled all the features seamlessly: On/Off, volume, channel, and even the navigation up, down, left, ride and select. Further, the home button will take you to LG Menu where Streaming Apps/Services can be selected, and a back button worked with (Amazon Prime I think it was) to move back in the menus of that streaming service). So, I can highly recommend giving this remote a try with an LG TV. Now, for those who want to indulge me for a quick rant about LG's remotes, keep reading: I've seen it hypothesized in many places that LG doesn't backlight their remotes anymore to 'save some cost' to produce the TVs. If that's the case then how can someone make and sell a remote that does everything the LG does, with backlighting, for $30? If that's truly their rationale, then drop the free batteries and add backlighting.
Although I can get to all the TV, Roku, and Blu-ray programming and setup menus with the universal remote, I still keep my old remotes in a drawer for a few specialized functions, especially all the oddball settings and modes in the sound bar and IPTV.
Overall, this is a great experience, and a much better one than previous attempts to use so-called universal remotes - I had near about sworn myself off of them forever about 15 years ago as they were universally not universal. These new universal remotes are an example of actual human technological progress and make me proud to work in a product engineering team.

Great addition to my logitech office ecosystem!
on June 2, 2023
Posted by: MacUser
Logitech doesn't need any introduction and I have been an avid user of Logitech computer accessories for as long as I can remember. I had been drooling over the MX Keys since a long time. I've seen so many of my friends and cousins using it and was very much impressed with it. So when I saw this combo kit, I decided to grab it. These two accessories (mouse and keyboard) are the prime examples of brilliant minds that work at Logitech. The design, the style, the working: everything is on par.
Let's first start with the mouse, MX Master 3S. I have been working as a Mechanical Design Engineer for more than 10 years now and Logitech is the only brand that I use for my mouse. I spend 90% of my time at job using mouse to 3D design stuff on software such as Creo, NX and SolidWorks. I cannot even imagine using any other brand mouse. I started with G602 that had 9 programmable buttons and anyone with even a little design experience can understand how much of a life saver that mouse is. Unfortunately, that started giving some issues after more than 5 years of service and I replaced it with MX Master 2S and OMG, that was a game a changer too. I agree, it didn't have as much programmable buttons but I still was able to make full use of few that are provided.
The MX Master 2S was a fantastic mouse, but I had two complaints about it: 1) It used Micro USB instead of Type C and 2) the thumb wheel and navigation buttons were hard to use. The MX Master 3S fixes both those problems. The thumb wheel now has a very high quality feel to it and is very easy to spin around, and they've moved the navigation buttons lower down to make them easier to press with your thumb. The main scroll wheel has also been made quieter, and somehow even more fun to use. As before, this mouse works on pretty much all surfaces, can connect to 3 devices, and can connect by either bluetooth or a USB dongle. I've had no issues using it on both a Mac and PC. Logitech claims a battery life of 70 days, and while I obviously haven't been able to test that out yet, if the MX Master 2S is anything to go by, you can expect great battery life on this mouse too. The 3S has significantly better placement for my average sized hands. On the 2S, it required pulling my thumb so far back, that it initially felt like my thumb was going to dislocate. On the 3S that isn’t a problem.
The vertical scroll wheel is great. Feels much better than the scroll wheel on the 2S, but it may take some fiddling with the Logitech Options program to get it to automatically switch to free scrolling based on your desired speed. The default setting switches it too easily, and the jump from ratcheted scrolling to free scrolling speed is significant. You might find yourself wanting to just scroll a few lines faster, and then suddenly you’re all the way at the bottom of a webpage.
It's a big upgrade from Master 2S. However, if you own a Master 3, getting a 3S would not be much of an upgrade for you. The only difference between the two are that 3S has a 8000 DPI sensor where as 3 has 4000 DPI sensor. The other difference is that Logitech claims that 3S has 90% quieter clicking than 3. There is no question the placement of the back and forward buttons has been improved as well as the horizontal scrolling wheel as compared to 2S. The tracking also seems more precise. The gesture button is also vastly improved and now has an actual physical button. This mouse unequivocally earns a high five stars rating from me, along with my honest and very hearty recommendation. You will never see a mouse more ergonomic and comfortable to use than this one!
Now the keyboard, MX Keys S. This is an excellent keyboard. Better than any Apple keyboard with more functionality at cheaper the cost!!! This is the keyboard that Apple should have brought out for their Macs. It has many nice features. The one that I find really nice is the key back lighting. It's quite handy under lower light conditions. My previous Logitech products have lasted many years, which makes this keyboard purchase a worthy investment considering the quality and features. Right out of the box I was amazed at the solid workmanship. This thing feels sturdy and heavy. It has a classy dark metal gray finish. Its curved edges and slight tilt, along with the silent keys make it a pleasure to use. The lights go out if your hands are away from the keyboard for long, but respond immediately to your fingers touching the keys with lighting up. The construction seems very good, and the keys with their sculptured tops are nice to type on. The programable key functions are also handy for adding some user defined command to certain keys. Overall and nice keyboard I've been using this keyboard for a couple days now and I love it. It has a nice heavy/solid feel, so it doesn't slip around on my desk and the keys have a nice tactile "break" at the end of the keystroke. Very easy to use for hours at a time.
It has a rechargeable battery that charges up via the included USB-C to USB-A cable; you'll need a USB-A type power adapter which is not included. I only had to charge it once and plugged it into my laptop. Logitech claims a battery life of up to 10 days on a full charge or up to 5 months with the backlighting turned off, which is way less than my MX Master 3S mouse but that is understandable as the keyboard draws more power than the mouse.
This Logitech keyboard is just much much better than all of the keyboards I've used so far. Some of it is the small form factor that leaves more space on my desk. Some of it is the super sleek look that makes my desk look like I'm an elite designer. But more than anything, it's how smoothly the keys actuate, how they travel just enough (not too little, not too far), and how the concave circle shape on each key is built to welcome your fingers. This keyboard is not without faults, but these faults pale in comparison with how good the keys are.

Best Meat You'll Ever Cook
on May 1, 2023
Posted by: MacUser
I love this gadget! I've been meaning to get into sous vide cooking for a couple of years, when my cousin, a fitness freak, first started using the method. A few other friends also had recommended it. I wondered if there was really room in my cabinet for yet another kitchen gadget. Eventually yet another friend said “yeah, this is awesome”. So I decided to finally get one. Needless to say, this is my first sous vide kitchen tool. I was thrilled to get this 1100 W unit. This totally changed the way I cook meat, end of story. I have never cooked meat so tender and delicious. If you like meat, you really want to get one of these. It's everything they said it is and more. I did not have any issues with getting it to connect to the app. And the app is very easy to use and there are presets based on the type of protein you’re trying to cook. I’m not sure how the device or app could be made any easier to use. Keep in mind, it only supports 2.5 GHz Wi-Fi.
So far I have used it on chicken breasts, chicken thighs, salmon fish, lamb rack and lamb loin chops. The meat comes out amazingly tender! I've been using the Anova for 2 weeks now and trying new recipes almost daily. I gave up chicken breast years ago because I just could never learn to cook it right. Most of the time it came out dry, chewy, stringy. The 1st time I tried it sous vide, the flavor knocked me for a loop! I'd never cooked a chicken breast that tasted that good before, and I didn't even put any seasonings in the bag. Just a bit of salt & pepper after it was cooked. You probably want to wait until the water is at the specified temperature before you immerse your bagged food. I use the hot water from my tap to fill the tank and the heater raises it to cooking temperature very quickly for such a small device. You can also dip water from the tank into a pyrex measuring cup and heat that in the microwave, then pour it back into the tank to take some of the burden off the coil and raise the temp faster. But if you just let it work, it'll raise the water temp to your target temperature and hold it there with extreme efficiency.
Understand that as awesome as this thing cooks, it takes time. This is no a get home from work and figure out whats for dinner type thing. It can do thinner cuts of meat in 1-2 hours but that also means prep time and finishing afterward. It's great for the weekend special meals or if you can get it going the evening before. We had a big family get together last weekend and had to cook a plenty of meat. Here's how things went (all cooking was done in a plastic storage box containing about 40 quarts of water):
1. Salmon (about 5-6 lbs at 125 deg F for 40 min): No problems here, though we started off using hot tap water to reduce the time needed to reach the target temperature. The Anova had no problems maintaining the target temperature after the fish was immersed.
2 Rack of lamb (about 6-7 large racks at 140 deg for 60 min): This was a slight challenge, as it took the Anova a long time to bring the water to temperature, so we added stove-heated hot water. Again, once the target temperature was reached, things were fine.
3. Chicken thighs (about 40 thighs, at 160 deg for 90 min): This was more than the Anova could handle. The higher target temperature meant it took a very long time to heat up the water, even with adding stove-heated water. Moreover, immersing the cold chicken cooled the water by 15 degrees, and the Anova really struggled to heat the water faster than the meat was cooling it. This required a lot of hands-on effort - pulling water out of the bath, heating it up on a stove, and pouring it back into the bath. My advise: Remove the meat from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for some time before cooking. This will prevent water from cooling down and also help to cook the meat evenly inside out.
This is not a fast technique for cooking. It is a phenomenally SLOW technique. But it is also remarkably precise, never overcooking the food, even if you leave it in the cooker for hours past the point where its completely cooked. It can't overcook -- it brings the food precisely to the temperature you set, and no further. This is good for cooking tough and inexpensive cuts of meat, because you can leave them to slowly cook for days without worry that it'll overcook. It turns that tough connective tissue into lip-smacking, tender gelatin, making the toughest cuts into fork-tender deliciousness with NO possibility of overcooking, ever. If you'd like to enjoy high quality, high-cost cuts of meat at home and avoid disturbingly high restaurant prices, get yourself this Sous vide cooker. It's hard to believe you can enjoy quality meals at home that you thought were only possible in a restaurant, until you try this tool. Try it, you'll love it.

Nice to clean my teeth while out and about
on March 27, 2023
Posted by: MacUser
I can't believe how powerful this little guy is and the design is perfect. I like washing out my teeth after eating and having that available when I am away from home is great. I liked the packaging which felt efficient but professional with all the components neatly arranged in the small box that it is shipped in. The device itself is just as advertised, compact and nicely minimal design that is easy to figure out without instructions.
I have had 6 to 8 different portable water flossers over the years and this one is SO much better than all the others. Until this one, none of them were very portable. They were all pretty large and bulky and took up a lot of room in my suitcase. The water resevoirs were hard to detach and difficult to clean and dry out before packing. Worse, they were designed with the on/off button exposed so they tend to turn on when they get jostled inside your suitcase. Many times I have arrived at my destination with a dead water flosser. It has also led to several instances during my travels of people pointing out that my suitcase was buzzing.
It is a light, small well shaped easily packed personal hygiene tool. While I use Sonic care brushes that work well, there is always a little something left behind that only flossing can get to. Water flossing is the most productive method we have found unless you enjoy the “dessert “ found the next morning. This design solves all those problems. It is true that because the water reservoir is very small it will run out of water quickly but it is so powerful that it gets a lot done with that small amount of water. And it only takes 5 seconds to refill it again, so who cares if you have to refill it once or twice? A fair trade for having such a well-designed, compact travel flosser. The pressure is adequate for me and the food particles get washed out nicely.
As long as you realize this is really a travel device or one suited for those who only need very short cleaning sessions then you won't be disappointed and I highly recommend this product.

Cool Looking Multi-Charger
on November 17, 2022
Posted by: MacUser
I replaced my old dock charger with this one because my last charging dock stopped working all of a sudden. This Insignia 4-in-1 charger seems to be of high quality and works perfectly. It’s nice to have one power cord to charge my phone, my watch and my AirPods. In addition to that I can charge an additional phone via Qi charging. I wanted a decent charging stand for my work desk (I work from home mostly) that is reliable and doesn't heat up my phone. It does everything it says it will do, and it does that job well. I’ve always found it difficult to find a device that will charge my Apple Watch, iPhone and AirPods at the same time - and that I can use easily in the dark. This magnetic wireless charger meets those needs.
The charger takes up very little room on my desk and I like the styling of it, as well. It has a fan for the MagSafe charger that you can turn off via a button on the base. It is a physical button but acts as a touch button (does't get depressed) which I thought is really cool design. I really appreciate that it has this button to turn off the fan so I can use it at night. Not that the fan is loud but you can still hear it running if you are trying to fall in asleep. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max with a silicone MagSafe case (from Apple). The phone/case snaps onto the charger every time and is held in place very securely but not so much that it’s difficult to remove. The MagSafe charger can be rotated from 5 to 45 degrees (shown in the pics). No issues with charging times or anything like that. It’s easy to throw in a toiletries bag when traveling and I’m assured I’ve “remembered” all of my charging devices.
I highly recommend this product and my 5 stars are hard to earn. Perfect at bedside to charge an iPhone, an Apple watch and my AirPods simultaneously. The charging is reliable and quick. Many chargers these days don't come with a power brick. Just a cable. This charger has the brick included, which saves money. In short, after using this charger for about a week I can’t think of anything I’d change about it.

Good alternative to Pro Controller
on November 1, 2022
Posted by: MacUser
This is in impressive controller. From experience, I know that the vast majority of 3rd party controllers in the ~$30 range are terrible. Many have fake reviews, or reviews written by people that bought it for their kids, without realizing how terrible they really were. I'm very happy to say that this isn't the case here. This is an excellent alternative to the Pro controller if you don't want to spend $70. I had been on the fence of buying it but didn't because of the high price point. Luckily, I came across this MGC controller which in my opinion is on par with the Pro controller. I immediately grabbed one to try out and have been completely satisfied with it. The price is surprisingly affordable considering the features of rumble, program buttons and extra magnetic faceplate included in the package. I got this as the secondary controller for my son.
The way to connect can’t be easier. I had to go into the Switch settings when first pairing this one so the console could find the controller, but it was super simple and has been perfect ever since. The connection is good, overall quality is really good, all the features are in place and we love using gyro to play Mario Kart! The magnetic interchangeable faceplates are solid and cool. Switching the plates is easy as they have a magnetic feature. I cannot comment on the longevity of this controller just yet but so far this has exceeded my expectation.
I also have an Xbox and the MGC controller's buttons layout is almost same as Xbox controller that I have been using for so many years. So it didn't feel much different. Another reason for liking it. Big difference is the size with MGC controller being little smaller than Xbox's. It feels smaller in my hands but for my 7 yo son, it's perfect. He's the one who will be using it the most, so no complains here. The joysticks feel good, similar to the joycon sticks but taller for more control, the triggers feel reasonably smooth, the buttons are acceptable, and the overall build quality of the controller is solid (but lightweight). There are only a few other things they could improve on: The gyro controls, the rumble quality, and the ability to wake from sleep. While the gyro is usable, I found that it drifts more than the joycons in games such as Super Mario Galaxy. However, the gesture controls feel responsive.
At the end of the day, this is easily one of the best controllers at this price point. You aren't going to find a better value than this, and I highly recommend it as a cheaper alternative to the Pro Controller.

Best Dash & Windshield Car Mount for iPhones

This is a great product that is strong enough to hold a MagSafe phone with or without the MagSafe cover. I love this charger. The magnets are very strong. Phone never falls off even if its bumped. Very nice looking, easily maneuverable. Strong suction and it comes with a little sticky pad, so it adheres to the surface a lot stronger. You can also use the plastic tray and suction cup to that instead if your surface is too porous. I also have a phone mount for the vent from a different company and both are truly amazing. I've tried alot of products and none compete with this one! Have no fear, this magnet truly is very strong. Your phone will not drop. I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the biggest & the heaviest Apple phone to date coming in at 8.47 ounces (240 grams) and it holds it sturdy! I was concerned that when I hit pot holes or speed bumps the magnet wont hold but I was very wrong. Not once has my phone fell so far. My old mount would loosen all the time and my phone would constantly fall or the entire mount would fall off the dash due to phone's weight because the suction is not too strong on it, most of the time during a critical point when trying navigate to an unknown location. Not really safe trying to drive while searching for the fallen phone! I really like this concept and it was super simple to install. This thing is SUPER strong. I struggle a little bit to detach my phone, but that’s exactly what I wanted!
The charging capacity, however, is only 7.5W, half of what the official Apple MagSafe charger provides and way less than the maximum 20W that the iphones are rated to handle. This can be a deal breaker for some people but my main purpose of using this product is only to mount my phone on the dashboard while driving. My phone is always plugged in to my car's USB port anyways to use the Apple carplay feature as my car does not support the wireless carplay just yet but it's a good feature to have in the mount if you need it sometime. The option to fast forward or to change playlists or stations is only a few inches away. I can also keep an eye out for notifications, calls and text-messages without having to pick up my phone. If I need to type a reply, I pull over to the side of the road to do so safely.
Installation is a snap but you will need to take some time to find the perfect position for viewing your phone, especially with the ability to rotate it to horizontal. This mount can be placed onto the windshield as well as the dashboard. I chose to have it to the right of my steering wheel but YMMV.
This is the first iOttie product that I've ever used and it has exceeded my expectations. I do recommend this product for anyone who is trying to have their cell phone nice and neat connected by MagSafe. Just buy it! You’ll be glad you did!
