Always had good, reliability with Sandisk drives. Plenty of room for lots of movies, pictures, music, and so on. USB 3.0 is fast but not worth the extra money if you computer can't support it.

Easy to find in a sea of "black" drives. USB 3.0 is fast if your computer can support it. Otherwise, save your money and buy USB 2.0 drive with a greater storage capacity. Sandisk is reliable.

Mine is placed in the central part of the 1st floor on top of an entertainment center. The range is awesome all over the 2nd floor. Next door neighbor can pick up the 2.4ghz at full strength. There's a some loss in the 5ghz band with greater distance, but that's also expected. The beamforming works well. Best feature, the access control feature.

Hold off if you use TWC

I have this modem on Time Warner Cable's ultimate internet plan. Here's the thing, great modem but if you have Time Warner Cable, hold off on purchasing till Netgear addresses a known issue with this modem and TWC service. Basically, a TWC tech said that Netgear is working on addressing an issue that prevents the modem from reaching the full 300MB per second download speed. The firmware version that is the issue is V1.01.04.
I would recommend this modem but only after Netgear provides a firmware update.
