I am a Samsung fan with numerous Samsung products, including a great bot vacuum. Wanting a stick vacuum for getting to the areas where a bot can’t go, and trusting the Samsung brand, I got the Jet 70. With a couple of exceptions, the Jet 70 was definitely a good choice.
The many features of the Jet 70 include:
• Light in weight and easily maneuverable
• Lays flat enough to clean under beds and other furniture
• The cleaning brush size and design makes it great for vacuuming carpeted stairs
• Digital inverter motor that provides up to 150 watts of power, which really sucks up the dirt and pet hair (Yes!). It picks up cat hair that I am not even seeing until it’s in the dust bin. No multiple passes needed over the same area to get the hot spots clean. I have several appliances that have digital inverter systems, so I’m a believer that they can make a difference.
• HEPA filter system
• Easy to see digital display on handle, allowing you to make quick power changes, as needed
• Dust bin is easy to empty, and it sink-washable! Detaching and reattaching can be a little awkward until you have done it a few times.
• Several useful attachments are provided, including an excellent upholstery tool.

There are two things about the Jet 70 that, in my mind, are negatives.
• The battery is averaging about 30 minutes use on a full charge, not long enough to do the house in one operation, unless it’s a very hurried job. Most of the time, the middle power setting provides enough power to get the floor/carpet cleaned, which helps usage time. Solutions are either the device comes with two batteries, or you separately purchase an expensive second battery. Either way you should be able to finish the job in one operation, because you don’t have to wait for several hours for a recharge. Also, the fully charged battery discharges too quickly if it does not remain in the charger until next use.
• There is an index finger rest molded into the handle, which can get uncomfortable during a vacuuming session. Making it either a little bit longer or slightly curved would be helpful. Possibly, even better would be putting a small cushion on the surface. That said, I wouldn’t consider it a deal-breaker to keep one from buying the Jet 70.
Other than my two dislikes, the Jet 70 is a particularly good vacuum. While it is in operation, it does a 5-star job of cleaning both carpeted and hard floors. It’s the battery issue that cost it a star.

This Chefman multi-purpose cooker works pretty well in all functions. You can bake, convection bake broil, convection broil, air fry, and warm previously cooked items. It comes with accessories needed for each type cooking: wire oven rack, broiler pan, fryer basket, and removable crumb tray. So, other than cooking utensils, it’s ready to cook.
It looks good, seems well-built, and is easy to clean. This model is analog in a digital world, but all controls are placed well for reading their functions. Said controls are properly descriptive for identifying the various cooking modes. If you must have digital, Chefman also offers one.
The included booklets provide helpful instruction for use and cooking tips. Like with anything new gadget, there is a learning curve to get the best results. For example, proper time and temperature setting for cooking will depend upon your experience and knowledge to prepare the food to your liking.

• Toast timer has its own on/off timer, with setting for light/medium/dark toasting
• An interior light (yes!) that you can turn on/off to see how your food is doing without opening door

• Convection more evenly distributes the heat. When using it “normal” time/temperature needs to be reduced somewhat to avoid overcooking. It can provide more efficient cooking if settings are proper.
• Settings for toasting bread and buns are spot on.
There are some things that could be better, including:
• There is no pre-heat function. So, should you put the food in right away, you will lose some of the needed cooking time. The manual says preheating should take about 5 minutes, so you add that to your timer settings. That’s not going to work every time, because the actual preheat time can vary depending on which cooking function you use.
• The timer ticks as it’s counting down, which can be annoying. This is especially so if you are cooking something requiring a long time. When the timer reaches the end, there is a single ding. If you aren’t there to hear the ding, your food could burn. Also, if you open the door to check the food, make a placing adjustment, or whatever, the timer continues to count down. This is one area where digital is so much better.
This is a nice product with lots of useful functions, and I think next time I would go digital. However, as to this model itself, I would recommend it, because it does work well overall.

I have had an air fryer for some time now, and it works still works well. However, it is too large capacity/ physical size for my needs and takes up a lot of counter space. As an empty nester, I was looking for something less family size; and, already owning several excellent Bella cooking products, I opted for this new on the market 4Qt Bella and am glad I did.
For a physically smaller fryer, the Bella 4Qt is packed with many features:
• 1500 watt circulating heat system
• Fast heat up is a time saver
• 8 built-in cooking programs: air fry, bake, broil, roast, reheat, dehydrate, pizza, and keep warm
• Digital controls on a large easy to read screen (Great for “older” eyes!)
• Non-stick (truly!) cooking surfaces
• Cooking basket and crisping tray are dishwasher safe (I prefer to clean them by hand, so I let them soak in hot sudsy (Dawn) water. After a reasonable time, I take them out and pretty much only have to rinse off the suds and then pat the surfaces dry. The excellent non-stick surfaces make it quick and easy.

Liking French fries and not wanting to mess with fry pans and grease was the main reason for my interest in air frying in the beginning. The bar set by my older fryer was set high for fries. Now, Bella has raised the bar: using the air fry program, I had perfect crisp fries the first time out.
Next, I tried the broil program to cook Chicken Breasts Parmigiana. The only thing that caused them to be 99% perfect instead of 100% was “user error,” causing them to be a little crispy around the edges. That aside, Bella’s programming was right on. The breasts were delicious!
In my view and for my needs, the Bella 4Qt is an all-around winner. Like my other Bella products, I was a fan with first use. I am so sold on this air fryer, that I have already decided to donate the older, but still functional one. Thank you, Bella, for another great product!

The Oster Pro 1200 is a particularly good blender, with 1200 Watts of power and ease of use. In addition to the expected manual functions, it has 3 pre-programmed selections that work very well. Whether blending, chopping veggies, making salsa, or smoothies and shakes, it gets the job done quickly. Using the blender to get the best results, there is a little bit of a learning curve for some functions. No worries, it’s not rocket science.
The 6-cup blending jar is made of heavy-duty glass, which I like better than plastic. Assembly/disassembly is easy. One thing you will need to be aware of is the small locking lever which is designed to ensure proper placement of the blender jar into the base. As the lever may be something new to you, be mindful of it and it should become habitual when using the blender. Also, as with any decent blender, be careful when handling the very sharp blades.
The blender also comes with a 24oz. “go cup” for smoothies and such. To me, this is the one part of the blender set that is not so great. If you have large hands, gripping the cup comfortably may not be an issue. However, for medium or small hands, it could be a bit of a challenge. It will fit into a car’s cup holder; but, because of its height with the large cap on, it can get in your way as the driver. Another issue is that if whatever you are drinking that is not liquid, you better have a long straw handy. Also, drinking items from it can be awkward due to the caps design, especially for thick contents.
Overall, there is a lot to like about the Pro 1200. In addition to its features, it comes at a competitive price. I would certainly recommend it to a friend.

Ninja has scored a winner with this six-function indoor cooker. It grills, air fries, roasts, and more. Right out of the box, you can plug it in, and it is ready to cook. That said, be sure to wash the cook ware surfaces first. Secondly, be sure to carefully read at least the instructions for whichever function you are going to use. If you do that and follow the instructions, you are pretty much count on a successful outcome. I say “pretty much” because you will learn to adjust the outcomes for your taste.
The meat thermometer that comes with the cooker is a key element in ensuring a good outcome with meat. There are clear instructions regarding thermometer placement, proper use, and care. Treat it right and it to be a good cooking partner.
My first use was to grill three small steaks, which are what the grill size accommodates without crowding. By properly inserting the thermometer and setting the cooking instructions per the manual, I turned the cooking over to Ninja. For a first-time effort, I was not disappointed. The steaks were done to a pink center, with no muss or fuss. Also, I learned what adjustments I would need to make if different doneness levels were wanted.
I already have an air fryer that I really like for French fries. Using the Ninja and following the instructions, I got excellent crispy fries with the first effort. No adjustment needed, and it is quicker.
Vegetables are grilled well. Depending upon the vegetables and how crisp you want them, it may take a couple of times to get them to your taste.
After the cooking implements have cooled, cleanup is easy. I use warm water, Dawn, and either a non-abrasive cloth or the provided brush, and it is done in minutes.
As good as this grill is, it falls a bit short of perfect. It is bulky and heavy, so storage may be an issue. In addition, the grill itself must be stored separately when the cooking pot and crisper basket are in the cooker, or vice versa. This, to me, is enough to cost 1 star for what is otherwise a 5-star cooker.
There is a lot to like about this Ninja smart cooker, and I am pleased overall with its ease of use, almost spot on suggested cooking times, and prep/clean up ease. In many ways, it is cooking simplified.

I have been a fan of Malwarebytes (MB) for years, starting with the free edition. Five years ago, liking the product so well, I bought a lifetime license (no longer available, I believe) for the full version. As I added new computers, etc., I moved my license to the newest computer and used the free version on the others. Now, with this latest 4.0 edition being available for 3 devices (including Android), I can use Premium on all my computers/devices at a reasonable cost.
Downloading the 4.0 software to my primary computer and setting it up was done so fast, I did not even have time to get a refill for my tea. First run reported no issues, and that continues with each day’s scheduled run. Because my trust of MB built over the years, I have no reason to doubt it is doing the job. In addition, because MB, as effective as it is even if stand-alone, it does not interfere with most antivirus software. So, if you want to double cover, go for it. I do not know of any software that can 100% guarantee to keep your device clean all by itself.
More than once, MB has warned me I am about to get on a dicey or dangerous website. The web address may look good, but sometimes a typo can get you to a place you do not want to be. Just in performing all MB says it can do, I trust it to be there working full-time for me.
If you want to safely operate your computers and other devices, do yourself a favor by installing Malwarebytes 4.0 on them. Also, MB not being a static product is already 4.2.0. Another reason to trust Malwarebytes!

I am a long-time fan of LG products, especially TVs and home appliances, so I had high expectations of the quality of these Bluetooth ear buds. Overall, my expectations were met.
The buds come in a compact case that also serves as the charger. Keep the case charged, and it will do the same for the buds. Even better, charging is fast, so even if not fully charged, the buds will play for a very reasonable time. LG says 5 minutes will get you an hour. A special note about the case: it is reported to have a disinfectant function to kill up to 99.9% of bacteria on the buds. These days, that is a very suitable function to have. No way for me to really test it, but I trust LG.
For me, the fit was great right out of the box. However, there are other sized gel covers provided. They are so comfortable that, if I were not hearing music, I would forget I had them in my ears. And the sound quality and clarity are super: both bass and treble. Though I do not usually use buds to make/take calls, these have dual microphones in each to provide clarity of calls.
Bluetooth connecting your charged buds to a source is very quick and easy. They have almost instantly paired with Alexa, as well as my mobile phone. So long as you do not go out of Bluetooth range, of course, there is no linkage quality lost by moving around.
All functions for volume up/down, pause/restart, and play next are performed with taps on the buds. Not at all as complicated as I have found other brands to be.
Another great product by LG that I can certainly recommend to anyone.

Today, lots of people rely on their smart phones to shoot photos and video. That is fine; however, if you want 4K quality, as well as shooting and editing options, the Sony FDR-AX43 is a great choice.
If you are not highly skilled in setting up the finer points of shooting photos or 16:9 videos, the AX43’s automatic settings do the hard work for you. Pretty much, you only need to point and shoot. Getting started is easy. Charge/install the battery, insert a memory card (not included), open the 3” LCD display, and the camera turns on and is ready to shoot photos and/or shoot videos. “And/or” because you can capture a still shot (5540 x3056 resolution) amidst shooting video. No worries.
Features of the AX43 include:
• Zeiss 4K zoom lens (20X optical; 205x digital); auto-focus.
• Gimble stabilizer for stabilizing shooting. This really helps If, like me, you tend to move when shooting.
• Particularly good audio recording.

Getting used to operating the camera properly and smoothly takes a few times of usage; but, once done, it is pretty much easy to use. As to comfort of use, my thing was getting accustomed to the position of the battery. Its location on the rear seemed awkward and unbalanced; however, the more I used it, the less the problem.
This is a genuinely nice vidcam, packed with lots of genuinely nice features. It does not come cheap, but you get a lot of quality for your money. Another great product from Sony.

If you have or expect to have multiple Hoover ONEPWR products, this is the tool for you. The charger is compatible with them all. It’s a two-bay charging unit to help ensure you always have a charged battery for continuous run time. Because the ONEPWR batteries are so easy to change out, it only takes a few moments. Charging time is comparably quick!
The charger itself is small in size and can be wall-mounted, if you wish. Each bay has LED indicator lights to show charging status. Be aware, however, that the bays charge sequentially, not at the same time. With several ONEPWR devices, this could be very helpful. With one device, maybe not so much; because if it has two batteries, you only use one at the time, while the other is in the charger. Either way, Hoover’s ONEPWR concept is such a great idea, compared to brands whose individual products have a different charger for each product. Too many chargers to keep up with sometimes!

Right out of the box, I was liking the look and feel of the Hoover Blade+. Assembly is easy, the array of cleaning attachments is impressive, and there are two batteries. Having experience with other cordless vacuums, installing/uninstalling a battery the Blade+ is the easiest of all. Also, the assembled device is not heavy, so it’s easy to lift/carry/use.
Anxious to see if actual operation would be as easy as getting it set up, I popped in a battery and turned it on. Trying it on hard flooring is like driving a sports car, the vac takes off as if it were self-propelled. Maneuverability is like having power steering. It’s so responsive, you can get the cleaning head moving in almost any direction with just using wrist action. First impression was “wow.”
Sold on hard floor cleaning, I tried it on carpet; and liking the vac became loving. Cleaning and “combing” of the carpet is great. I have an older vac that does a good job, but the Hoover is taking over. Regardless of the great job it does on open floors, one of the best features is the cleaning head and overall product design allows you to clean under furniture. Got dust bunnies under the bed, no worries. The Blade can get under there and suck them up!
The one thing I don’t like is the Blade doesn’t fold or stand on its own for storage. That said, Hoover does include a wall mount for those who might want to hang it. In any event, that does not take away anything from the vac’s great performance.
