Excellent, yet memory cannot be upgraded

First, this laptop is the perfect size - it's more like a netbook with the power of a full sized laptop. The keyboard size is perfect for a machine this small. The HD screen resolution is phenomenal for a small 11" ratio. What more can I say, it's simply a fantastic machine.
Yet, with only 2 GB of ram, it seems to bog down when opening too many webpages at the same time. The Specifications section suggests that the memory is upgradable to 4 GB and that there is a single slot for DDR3L PC3 ram. So what's the first thing I buy to go with this laptop? 4 GB of memory. The laptop is a pain to take apart and after finally getting it open, the ram appears to be integrated into the motherboard - as there is no DDR3L memory slot. I only wish one of the reviews had mentioned this and I could have saved myself an hour of time on this upgrade task.
All in all, 2 GB of ram appears to be enough to do basic tasks on this laptop and for the size, one cannot beat the convenience of a laptop that can basically go anywhere. Also, the battery life appears to be impeccable clocking in at about 8 to 10 hours.
Bottom line: I would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a small machine to go anywhere, however Best Buy should consider updating the specifications section to avoid implying that the memory can be upgraded to 4 GB.

I have a GPS unit that will only recognize cards up to 8 GB, so having bought a 32 GB card, I had to downsize down to an 8 so that the silly software would recognize it. For the price this little Kingston 8GB does a fantastic job at holding the map updates.

Apple® Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter - Proprietary, HD-15 Female

Don't waste your time with anything else, get the Apple DisplayPort to VGA when trying to connect a Mac Mini to a VGA monitor. I was unaware that "Mini DisplayPort" is virtually the same thing as a "Thunderbolt port" and thus I wasted some time by buying the wrong adapter and having to make another trip back to Best Buy. This product is excellent - plug it in and it works! Bottom line, if you are trying to connect a Mac Mini to a VGA monitor, this is the only way to go.

This KVM switch is absolutely phenomenal. I used the same monitor, keyboard, and mouse to run both a Windows machine and a Mac. The switch switches seamlessly between both machines.

So I'm a die hard Quicken user who recently switched to Macintoah after getting irritated with Windows 10. I expected Quicken for Mac to be pretty much the same as the Windows version, but I was wrong. First Quicken for Mac does have a good user interface and transactions can be entered quickly, but the reports functionality is not very customizable. It appears that Quicken for Mac skimped on the reports development and basic functions like being able to customize a report is something quite lacking. If one doesn't use Quicken to generate a report of transactions then this would be fine, but for most of the world's users who balance a checkbook with it, it is kind of handy to have the ability to run a customizable report. Contacting Quicken's support I found that there really isn't a way to customize a report the way I used to be able to do in w Windows version. So aside with exporting the data and importing into Windows, the Mac version just isn't quite there yet. It will be interesting if future versions will fix this, Intuit has sold off the Quicken brand and it is unknown if future versions will fix the reports issue or if Quicken will no longer be updated. Overall, if one is fed up with the Windows operating system and attempts to transition over to Macintosh, the Quocken for Mac is a viable alternative. Just don't expect it to do everything one is used to doing with the Windows version.

Great size, but don't expect lots of output

This is the first portable charger I've ever bought, so likewise I didn't know what I really wanted out of a charger when I bought this. At a full charge, this portable charger will attempt to charge my cell phone but completely drains out to empty when charging my phone. I gave it three stars as it does an average job of putting power into a phone when in a bind but it lacks the power one may expect from a charger. I used it two times before tossing it aside and buying a different charger with 15 times the capacity. A larger charger will allow a phone to be charged multiple times before the portable charger must be charged. The positive thing about this little charger is that it is little, compact, small, and quite handy enough to go just about anywhere. (Unlike my larger charger that weighs a ton and takes up an entire cargo pants pocket) This charger is pretty much like the size of a couple cigarette lighters and can be carried anywhere. If it had more capacity it would be super.

This handy dandy hand steamer is alright as a little steamer, but don't expect it to steam like a comparable "canister" style steamer with 1500 watts. This puppy has only 900 watts and it is enough for small tasks like steaming doorknobs or bathroom faucets. It lacks enough power to adequately clean large surfaces like bathtub / shower walls. Guess one could try, but having to pause every 10 seconds for the thing to heat up can be painstakingly slow. Also the trigger must be held down with one's thumb, so this gets annoying if one just wants a constant blast of steam. Overall, it's good as a quick little steamer for small tasks, but don't expect to do a bunch of cleaning with it - instead invest in a larger more powerful unit.

This screen protector is great. I give it only three stars due to it not offering the uva / uvb / uvc protection that the zagg glass hd screen protectors for iPhone 6 offer. I bought this to protect my eyes, however it does not appear to do that, so while I may develop cataracts from using my iPhone at least now my iPhone screen should not break, should I drop it.

Can you add more memory
Good question! The specifications suggest that the memory is upgradable to 4 GB. I tried to upgrade it and upon taking the laptop apart, the memory appears to be integrated into the motherboard. I was not able to successfully upgrade the memory. Now, I must pay a restocking fee to return the memory as the specific DDR3L memory I bought for this machine is of no use to me.

Yes, an external DVD/CD drive can be connected to the USB 3.0 port.
