Over the years I have upgraded my own car stereos and have also had other companies do installs for me. This was my first experience having the Geek Squad do an install. I have to say I felt much better after this install knowing that Best Buy will be around to fix any issue I could have then I ever did with other installers. Simple works

I use this cable because my gaming headset cable plugs into a amp that is a single plug for the headphone and microphone. I send the microphone signal to my computer and the stereo headphone connect to a USB DAC amp. This helps fix a problem I had where the microphone just didn't sound good enough for team gaming going through the amp. It sounds fine going through the computer.

I have a couple of Nvidia shields connected to my TVs throughout the house. I get TV through a Silicon Dust cable card tuner. So I pay no rental fees to the cable company. This has been working very well although the last Nvidia update has caused some problems. Still for smart TV functions on a 4K TV this is the most powerful streaming device and has been for a while. Maybe if you want to stay with Apple products this is not your device. But if your a Android user this is your streaming device. And Nvidia keeps it updated with new features. It's not the lowest cost of the big streamers but it has the power for games and movies and tie in to Google that isn't matched by any other device.

It is nice to see car receivers like the JVC on the market at prices that make them affordable. The JVC can be a great headunit for any custom build or like me replace an older headunit in a 2010 Rouge. The installer took longer than I would have liked but I had him replace the cigarette lighter below the receiver with a USB port so dash mounting the phone was easier. The Rouge already had a separate sub woofer in service but is running the stock OEM speakers in the doors. I can't really comment fairly on if the sound was improved over the earlier head unit since this is not my daily driver. This is the wife's car and my main intent was to have Android Auto available to her and me when I do the driving. It works just fine on our S8s. Android auto is a great addition to most cars but there are a lot of things I wish it did better. But having the most current maps is a benefit when you need it. Finally I have to say the display is a much higher quality then I expected at this price so I am very satisfied with both the receiver and the Geek Squad install.

Choices for Bluetooth speakers with Google Assistant seem to grow by the day. The build quality here is very good. It has a IPX7 Waterproof rating. That waterproof specification says it should be “Protected against short durations of water immersion”. So it should be ok unless dropped in a pool. I thought the sound was mostly good overall but this level of weather protection will have some cost there. It does get loud enough and I thought it had a mostly neutral sound. Google Assistant is fun when you learn to use it. Link it to your Google account, tell it to play your music from the speaker or cast to another device and you off. The problem I have is do I need a portable music player since is expects to plugged in all the time.
If you don’t need a portable Bluetooth music player this speaker is probably not for you. On the other hand if you want the rated 5 hours of unplugged playtime this speaker is a nice option. Of course it supports most any WiFi signal and once you link your Google account it will grab your private network password. It is also easy to connect directly to your phone using its Bluetooth connection. It has a more rugged look than say Google’s own home player. However the form factor isn’t really carry friendly. Some creative handle addition would have been nice. Since its portable there is a battery to manage, and that’s the final choice. You will have another Micro-USB device to keep charged. The charger was not included but the Micro-USB cable was. I was disappointed it didn’t have the newer type USB-C connector because that will be the industry standard going forward. But if that’s ok for you this is a very good speaker with a fully capable Google Assistant. Just be sure to take it out from time to time to get the extra value by having a battery.

I wasn't a long time David Bowie fan during his Ziggy days. But I saw him in concert for the Heroes tour and he was fantastic. This is a single CD. There is another version of this that is a double CD. I wish I had gotten that one since I don't have many of his CDs in my collection. If I had it to do over that is the one I should have gotten. Still this is very good and I would recommend it for new and old fans. He left a great body of work and if you didn't listen to him before this is a good start..

Setting a new standard for quality

The new Google Pixelbook is without a doubt one of the most high quality notebook computers I have ever had the pleasure to use. From the very fast speed, excellent backlit keyboard, high resolution touch display, glass touchpad, glass and aluminum form factor and 10 hour battery life finding something to complain about can only be nitpicking. But no matter how nice any product is, there is always room for improvements. For the new Pixelbook the chassis is a bit on the sharp side. Not so that you can cut yourself but it can be uncomfortable if you have it pressed against a your bare skin. The other issue I have is the transition to the Chrome operating system from Windows. If you are already use Chrome as your operating system which is now very common in schools this is a non issue. But for a lifetime Windows user getting to know Chrome, even though it’s my browser of choice is a bit of a challenge. For those who already use Chromebooks that wouldn’t be an issue. For those on the fence about getting a Chromebook there are a lot of reasons to give it a try. Security, great battery life and now most newer Chromebooks fully support Android applications are just some of the advantages. Really I could go on about how nice this notebook is. It’s clear Google intended to show the market what a Chromebook can be. This version is for those users that want the very best that Google can show off and also can sit right next to the best Windows and Apple notebooks and be right at home. It is going to take a bit of time getting used to Chrome as an operating system but the advantage far outweigh the negatives. For example my company now uses the cloud to host their office applications. So anything I can do on my Windows notebook I can do with a Chromebook. There are lower cost notebooks than the Pixelbook and Chrome will be the same on each one. One final feature to take note of here is the Pixelbook only has two fully powered USB type C ports. One on each side and both can be used to charge the notebook. This is both good and bad. The truth is the industry is moving to this better USB connection. Most new smartphones are already using this connection type. So although you might need adapters today such as if you want to connect a mouse it is the future and the Pixelbook is an excellent contender of computing’s future.

Feels good and is very lite

I like my gaming mouse to be lite so I can move it quicker. My last mouse had weights that I took out and for the most part was satisfied with it. But this mouse satisfies all of my needs. Since I also have a Logitech wireless headset and RGB keyboard they all work together with one piece of software. Logitech is very highly regarded for there mice and keyboards and this one doesn't disappoint. If you can get it on sale like I did that's all the better.

Great cameras crippled by software

The Arlo family of products is a case of great hardware held back by a crippled software notification system. First off the hardware is a combination of very nice quality true high definition cameras connected wirelessly to a supplied base station. The base station connects to your internet router and operates separately from your current wireless network. This works very well since the cameras are on all the time but do not add further congestion to your existing network. You pair the camera one at a time to the base station, follow the simple instructions to create an online account and install either the IOS or Android smart phone application. Next you decide where you want to place the cameras. I have mine installed outside and they have proven to be very durable with amazing battery life. The camera kit comes with small single screw half moon metal mounts that the cameras attach to with very strong magnets. They also have screw holes for standard camera mounts but they are not included in the package and for most installs are probably not needed. It is very easy to adjust the camera image while you see the image in realtime with your phone. The HD images are crisp and clear and even work very well in the dark. I recommend you do not point the cameras at a busy street or traffic area as that will greatly impact your battery life. But placed correctly you can expect the batteries to last several months without the need to be recharged. They have been through the cold of winter, heat of summer and many bad weather events. Using the phone or website you can check the batteries and view images in realtime. They really are a marvel of simplicity. For the hardware there is only one thing that I would like changed and that is the USB wired charger connection on the back of each camera. The USB port has a very small opening and although I have a lot of USB cables available only the supplied Arlo cable fits the camera charging port. It’s a minor gripe on an otherwise excellent design. Where the real problem is with the notifications you get when the cameras are informing you they have been triggered. It is just too inconsistent compared to the quality of the devices themselves. I might get email within seconds or I might not get a notice for hours. This is really unacceptable. Also the smartphone notification is a 10 second video clip. That might be enough for some notifications but it might also just barely let you identify what triggered the camera. You can go online and see a library of 10 second clips so the cameras are doing just what they should be. But there being held back by the software. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere to control the recording length with the free service. You can purchase continuous recording as an add on. And there are premier and elite plans for video recording storage up to 100GB with support for 15 cameras. This can be a great do it yourself security camera system but the software notification needs to match the quality of the hardware.

You could burn your food with this grill. But it less likely than an outdoor grill. Since it has one temperature you learn how not to to burn your food. There is no flame and since the grill is used inside its probably right next to you as your making the rest of the meal. That helps to keep track of the cooking unlike an outside grill.

It should work. It's just a streaming HDMI device with is a world standard. I don't know about the power supply but it probably works with right adapter for the plug format in that country.

Can I use tasker app on shild?
It is not available on the play store for Android TV but you maybe able to side load it. If you don't know what side loading is than using Tasker might be a bigger challenge. Anyway it can't hurt to try and a little research on the net should answer your question in more detail.

This looks a lot like a console, is it efficient with games like World of Warcraft, League of Legends, or Hearthstone?
You can stream these games directly from your PC if you have a good home network and your PC has a newer Nvidia video card.

Does this device play all android market games, or is it limited to certain types? Specifically Walking War Robots?
There are games in the Google play store that are just for the Android TV. On the Shield Nvidia also has a play store with many older and some new games. Finally you can stream PC games directly to your Shield if you also have an Nvidia video card. So there are many options but except for streaming from the PC don't expect to play the latest AAA titles.

Which is better for me, a surface 2 or 3 tablet, or a 2 in 1 Surface 3?
I have studied so many different options in the Microsoft surface and microsoft surface pro line and am still confused. My main objective is to effortlessly handle powerpoint presentations professionally without having to stand near a computer. I would also like to take family pictures or videos. Lastly, I would like to handle emails, do business research, store files for my small business, and work while I'm on the go on airplanes and in hotels.
I have a regular PC and an old laptop at home with Windows 7 operating system, and I have an IPhone. I own Microsoft Office 365, so I do not have to have a computer that has all the Office programs already installed. I am trying to save money, but I do not want to cut myself short for creating, storing and presenting all my PowerPoint presentations. I may even start making webinars. Please help.

The Surface Pro 3 is probably your better choice. You won't have any issues with it doing any office tasks. The Surface 3 would also work but for a business environment I think the Pro is a better choice. It also has Win 8 pro which can support encryption if you think that might be useful to you. It also has a bigger hard drive option then the Surface 3.

As long as you have a good enough connection and an active account with Dish it should work.

I want to use the surface 3 to work from home. Can I connect dual monitors? If so, how?
Since it has a micro display port I think you could daisy change other display port monitors. I know it does work with my 4K monitor at full resolution but at 30hz.

Can I use 4G on it?
Is it ready for 4G? If not can I do or buy anything so I can use 4G.
I think there will be a 4G version in the future. But you can always get a USB modem or use a separate hotspot device which is what I do. You connect to the hotspot with the wireless networking and it can work on any other device that supports a wireless connection.
