I received the phone and once setup it worked like a charm.... for a month. After a month I happened to unintentionally to let the battery drain off and after that, I was never able to recharge it again. Letting the battery drain off happens to everybody at some point and there is no reason for this to be an issue, but exploring the Internet I found out that this is not all that unusual for Xperia. So I called support and they insist on having me reset the phone even though I kept on telling that the phone was literally "dead" (how am I supposed to reset it?). Eventually they tell me to return it for repair. Now comes the worse. I am unhappy about not being with a phone, particularly since they tell me it takes 14 business days for repair, but I send it anyway. After two weeks I call for status and they tell me that they just received the phone. I tell them that is impossible because the tracking number says it was delivered more than a week ago. They check and they tell me: "oh, that is because the phone arrived to our warehouse last week, but our repair department just received it. We have 14 business days to repair after we receive it." What the heck! Is that my problem? Hey, nobody is perfect and once in a while we get unlucky and get the one in a million deffective phone. But then I expect a good company to apologize profusely and either send me a new phone, or to repair my deffective one immediately and with courtesy. I think I may have bought my last Sony product ever. Such a pity, it used to be an excellent company.

does sony comact phone have a hot spot app
Most smart phone can act as a WiFi hot spot, if that is what you mean by "hot spot app", and the Xperia X compact is no exception. I have certainly used it as a hot spot.
