This laptop is powerful, boots up fast, has a good sized capacity hard drive and is priced just right. It is relatively light and the screen size is perfect for portability. There are only two hits if I can find something that is not perfect about it. 1. the screen is doesn't show bright vivid colors and 2., the 5400 RPM hard drive; there should be an option to get an SSD. I give it 4.8 rounded off to 5. Dell finally made a non-XPS series laptop that is worthy. Overall, this is a Best Buy at Best Buy:-)

This is a powerful laptop but I went through three of them and finally gave up. First one I got the blue screen of death out the box. It went straight to the bios setup and kept rebooting. Second one, I couldn't power it off, the button didn't work so I got another exchange. Last one, nothing but error messages on the screen after attempting to shut down. Good luck going through Dell customer support and finding someone who you can understand you or you them. I spent two hours on the phone with a tech who kept going back to another person to ask for advise which made the experience unforgettable.

This laptop is a good buy for the price. The screen looks decent and it has a massive storage capacity of 2TB which will come in handy so you don't need external devices for storage. I see one thing I do not like and it will become problematic or a nuisance right away. The track pad is horrific. It has a lot of play and feels about as cheaply made as I have ever seen on a laptop. I guess they had to get you with something at this price point but use a wireless mouse to get past this known issue. Buy the warranty because you will need it if you plan on keeping it for a few years as a piece of mind.

Alienware the king of gaming laptops has major issues. I went throughTHREE (3) of these laptops, same model and similar results. After setting up it worked flawlessly. The next morning on power up, the laptop wouldn't power on. I tried 7 times and only the Alienware light would illuminate and it would not power on. I called Dell Alienware Customer Service and none of the techs were proficient in English so that made me even more frustrated and it wasn't the language barrier it was the level of competence that irked me. I was on hold for the better part of three hours. Bottom line, when it works, it's awesome but when it doesn't, panic mode begins. If you get one that works it's hard to beat but if you go through three like I did, spend a grand more and buy a MacBook Pro and get what you pay for.
