Good sound bar

Produces enough sound for most rooms. You will want to shut off the main TV audio or you will get a small echo from the delay of processing the audio. This connects using either RCA jacks or fiber optic cable to my LG TV - which is what I use. It is self powered, and is quite loud without a lot of distortion.

This turned out to be a good purchase - be aware that the glass on these is very thin and prone to breakage in shipping - so if you buy one - have them come out and set it up, don't allow them to drop it off without checking the screen first.

Nice unit - Read review please

This unit is for 50 pounds and under, a 65 inch TV is around 62 pounds. Do not buy this for a large TV unless you reinforce the unit. I put a 3/4 inch plywood back on it for reinforcement - and that made it much stronger. Also consider not using the bottom shirt and legs - that helps too.

As usual, this SanDisk product comes through with flying colors.... Works quickly, comes up on the USB fast. And no B.S. trying to get it to work. Remember, while this is a 128 gig drive - there is only about 118 Gig free, depending on the OS you use and the sector blocking. I reformatted to NTFS, it comes with FAT32 on board I believe. It's a good product for when you just don't even seem to have enough space.

What wireless router will work with Comcast for TV &INTERNET FOR 2 HOME PC

Changing from ATT Uverse to Comcast-Xfinity TV and internet, want to purchase own router instead of renting monthly from Comcast. Need to know what equipment I will need to purchase, Will use for 4 TV's in house and 2 PC, need wireless router but do not know what to purchase.
You need to find out if you are getting a "Cable Modem" or a "DSL" line. they are different. For a cable modem, I have a "ARRIS - SURFboard 600 Series DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem", that takes care of converting the cable modem to Ethernet connection for you, check with the cable company for compatibility BEFORE you buy. DO NOT BUY A SB6141. It does not have 1 gigabit connectors on it, only 10/100 Ethernet. Once you have done that, you can put any wireless router on your system to handle the wireless connections - this connects to the cable modem, using wireless boasters for computers that are too far away from this base area - DO NOT CUT CORNERS ON THE SPEED OF THESE - get a dual band one, that is at least 343Mbps per channel, usually 2.4 mhz and 5 mhz rated, the faster the better - it's better to have the capability for more speed and possibly video streaming than to go cheap and be upset at the performance. You also might consider a wireless cable modem - it is a cross between the cable modem and a wireless router. Such as the "ARRIS - SURFboard eXtreme 802.11ac DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Router". They look expensive - but once you look at the cost of two units for the first solution - it's really not that bad, speed rules apply here too. If you have DSL for your house I cannot help you other than to say a DSL router provides an equivalent Ethernet connection for close computers and you may add a wireless router to get the rest of the house.

need webcam, no knowledge

I am attending school online and need a webcam that I can use for presentations and interviews.
I have assignments that deal with conducting an interview and submitting to my instructor via the internet.
I have no knowledge of what kind of webcam to get or how to use one.
I am hoping someone will be able to help me purchase a webcam that is very easy to use, that can do the things I need for school and not be expensive ( I am on a very limited budget but can if need be extend within reason for the right product)
There are many types available to accomplish this task. Generally, you get what you pay for when it comes to computer peripherals. So I try and pay a bit more for them knowing they can be transferred to another newer computer in the future when I upgrade, Laptop computers/pads usually have webcams built in to them already. If you have a desktop computer, make sure you have an available USB port. What you want is something that has reasonable resolution for things like SKYPE and other video chat programs. I tend to get the ones rated at 1080p (high resolution) for this. Remember - the ability to use this is also tied to how fast your internet connection is, slow connections mean you need to turn down the X/Y resolution of the camera so it will update reasonably without a lot of jittery movement. I like the Logitech - HD Webcam C615 - it's on sale for $46 bucks I believe. It's a decent webcam, and I get a little expensive, but a good investment for a quality product. This has 8 megapixel still pictures and a 30 frames per second chat - so it is decent. If your line is slower you can always change the resolution of the camera to match the slower speeds. It also comes with some utilities for face tracking and putting pictures in place of your face, with moving mouths and eyes on them - I know, a little creepy. It has auto light level as well. In the end, if you are doing video interviews or preparing videos to publish - this is not a bad one to use. Worse comes to worse, if it does not have a high enough resolution (which I doubt), take it back and get a higher end one.

Isn there a splitter that goes from 1 usb b male to 2 usb a female

My printer has one usb b port and I want to connect two computers to the one printer
You don't use a cable for this, you cannot overlay data streams between different devices like that. There are many products that are built to allow you to do this at a reasonable price. They are called 2-to-1 USB 3.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch USB Powered, or IOGEAR - 4x4 USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch, both from Best Buy. There also others available from other stores - some that have automatic routing (without hitting a button). The 3.0 USB ones also support 2.0 protocols - so don't worry about that, the 3.0 is just faster. The second one allows you to share 4 different devices between 4 different computers - so keyboards, mouses, printers, etc. all shared if you want.

How do I add a LAN connection to a second room in my house?

We have an electrical closet with an Apple Airport. I am now working out of my home and my work requires a LAN connection in my office (which is about 25 feet from the electrical closet) for the corporate phone system. Are there any options for adding a LAN connection to my home office other than having an electrician and/or contractor come out to run a connection to my office? The house is completely finished, so I am worried there is no easy way to get a line to my office. Any help is appreciated!
There are several options for this. I personally like the NETGEAR - DST Wireless Adapter, or a similar product. It essentially allows you to plug in an Ethernet 10/100/1000 cable and it send the data through the electrical wires in your house to another receiving unit which is then plugged into you computer/other. It does not have the same problems with wireless connections where the speed is constantly being downgraded because of bandwidth and other interference in the air. I find they are quite acceptable for streaming movies also. This works well if you are in a home vs. a business - since the second might have more interference on the wiring in the building. I do not recommend for say an office that has an attached manufacturing facility that might have large machines around. Make sure that the standards for the item match your device, i.e. IEEE 802.3 protocols - should be right on the product on what it supports.

Do bestbuy carry mostly vga male to male cabels in store often

If you are having difficulty finding the adapter that you need in store - you can order online and have it either shipped to your home, or, have it shipped to your local store for you to pick up. I don't believe there is a shipping charge for items that are sent to a store for pickup (but check - I have been wrong before). If you are using this adapter for a VGA extension cable, be aware that the VGA interface on old computers have a practical limit of under ten feet (I believe, and it may be more like 6 feet), since the hardware is not designed to send signals long distance - so using these types of connectors with extension cables can burn out your computers VGA connector/device if it is run to far, or the monitor on the receiving side, just a warning.

Old TV to HCMI for computer hook up

Is there a device out there that will allow an older TV to be hooked up to a laptop computer?
There are converters that will allow you to connect HDMI output (I believe that is what you were asking) to an analog TV. Do a search for "How I Connect HDMI to Old/Analog TV" on Google for your options. Please be aware that connecting to an older TV is not a good use of your dollars. You are better to buy a monitor or TV that excepts the HDMI input signal. The reason is because the older TV's do not have the resolution required to get a clean picture, normally those devices are restricted to 800x600 maximum or lower. I would spend the money towards a new TV or monitor, instead of a conversion box, you will be happier - check the sales here on Best Buy, they are not bad and have decent support for them, and no - I don't get money for recommending them.

What cables or cable ends will connect a Logitech 310 webcam to a Dell Vostro laptop with Intel i5 core and Windows 10?

Ideally, I need 16 feet of cable. Are there two that can be connected to make 16 feet?
Depending on your Vostro model, it will have both USB 2.0 and 3.0 compatible ports on it. The Logitech 310 is a 2.0 compatible device. The operating system should not be a problem, unless Windows 10 does not support this webcam (which I doubt) - that you need to check out for yourself, either by plugging it in and seeing if it recognizes the cam, or by checking supported devices on the Microsoft site (I would just plug it in - you will not harm it). However, using a simple USB extension cable will get you to 16 ft. I however don't recommend extending USB cable that far if you can help it. You may pick up interference from other devices in the room, or the USB port will slow the communication speed down on the device until it gets no errors - just be aware. If you get interference, try moving the cable around by re-routing it another way.

what is the correct ac adapter for the ASUS Q551LN-BSI708?

I need an oem ac power adapter
I could not find a replacement for this in the Best Buy system, however, the item you are looking for is a DC 19V ASUS Power Supply, and can be had through most computer electronic power supply houses. A search using google with "ASUS Q551LN-BSI708 adapter" will reveal multiple choices and vendors. You should use an appropriate replacement of equal wattage (90 watts in your case) for a replacement. Make sure the picture represented has the same type of end connector on it. Hope that helps.

Can you password protect this drive?

Yes, you should be able to use SanDisk SecureAccess 3.0, which is free and available on their website. I cannot post the link to it without violating terms & agreements on this page, but it's easy enough to find. If that is not what you want, check out the product "TRUECRYPT" on the net. It is a public supported product of high quality, and I have been using it for years. You may encrypt whole disk drives or just create a mountable file system within a single file. Encryption schemes are significant, including invisible FAT structures if needed.
